Bangladesh SmartLight Company Ltd

Bangladesh SmartLight Company Limited (BSCL), a private limited company registered in Bangladesh under company act XVIII of 1994.

BSCL starts its journey on July 2016 to organized a corporate structure to deal in Lighting and optoelectronics business. BSCL formally starts its business as a private limited company from 23 March 2017. Its head office is located presently at House: 26, Road: 1/Kha, Sugandha R/A, Panchlish, Chittagong-4203, and corporate office located at house 24/A, Road no 42, Gushan-2, Dhaka-1212; while all the sales activities are regulated from two sales offices, they are, Dhaka Sales Office: 50/F, Inner Circular Road (VIP Road) 4th floor, Noyapaltan, Dhaka-1000, and Chittagong Sales office: 128/105, Kader Tower (8th Floor), Jubilee Road, Nandankanon, Chittagong -4000

BSCL is running under the leadership of some highly qualified and experienced corporate leaders and business professionals of the country.

The Chairman of the company is Mr. Jahangir Kabir Rasel, an MBA from IBA under Dhaka University, having a track record of leading big corporate bodies, presently he is holding one of the top position in Concord Group of Companies. He is the Executive Director of Concord Group, at the same time he is also the chairman of Versatile group of companies, a business conglomerate of Versatile Holdings Ltd, Versatile Ready-mix Ltd and Versatile Traders Ltd. He has shown his capacity of dealing with High Government body, business-trade bodies, with a strong hold in corporate arena of the country.

The Managing Director of the Company is Mr. Md Mizanur Rahaman, an MBA in Finance from Dhaka University, enriched him with the experience in many corporates and also has a notable expertise in business Ex*****on. He is also Executive Director of Fagun Holdings Ltd, Managing Director of Cura Real-estates Ltd and Proprietor of Cura Corporation. He has a long experience in international trade and lighting business in Bangladesh.

The Director, Public Relation and Corporate affairs, Mr Osman Gani Mansur, is a prominent journalist, Lead the Daily Ittefaq as Bauru Chip, The Daily Kaler Kantha as residential Editor, he was the editor of The daily Purbodesh and the editor and publisher of the Daily People’s View. He is a director of AMS Estates Ltd, a director of Safa Arcade Ltd, a director of Safa Washing Ltd. He is the founder chairman of Fouzderhat Public School & College, chairman of Children Leukaemia Assistance & Support Services (CLASS).

Mr. S M Kamal Uddin, Director Finance, one of the most senior persons in the board of directors, having a 40-year experience of serving different key positions in Qatar Airways, Doha. And last but not the least Mr. Parvazz Uddin, the youngest director in the board, has running his own Agro-farming business in Chittagong and also served leading position in Shore to Shore BD Ltd and Yunusco T&A BD Ltd in business operation.

Bangladesh SmartLight Company Ltd is just in the growing position now, bearing a vision of leading the lighting sector of the country. BSCL starts its business as a trader by importing Lighting goods from abroad (mainly from China) and distributing across the country through its dealer network. It is approaching to its long-term plan of setting up LED Light manufacturing Factory in the country, and to become the leading manufacturer and exporter of LED light in near future.

At present BSCL product portfolio contains LED bulb, LED Tube lights, LED linear Lightings, Smart Home lighting and security devices like, Smart sockets, Smart bulbs and lamps, security sensors, IOT based devise and peripherals, LED commercial Lights including high-bay light, flood light, security light, street lights and Decorative indoor LED lamps. In future, some other product line also be included in BSCL’s product portfolio such as optic based electronics, house hold electronics and other optoelectronics items.

The products are distributed across the country in the name of “SmartLight” the own brand name of BSCL and “Magnafica Luce” an Italy origin indoor decorative lighting brand. It should mention here that BSCL is the sole distributor of Magnifica Luce in Bangladesh, Napal and Bhutan and setting up its own assembly unit in 2018 in Bangladesh in collaboration of Maginfica Luce Italy Int’l Ltd.
