《Ekmattra Handicraft Factory 9th Anniversary Picnic》
We held the 9th anniversary picnic for the Ekmattra Handicraft Factory.
Ever since last year's picnic was cancelled, there had been so many hopes and wishes: “If we could have a picnic, I'd love to go there”, “I'd love to see that”, “I'd love to eat that”. This time, we wanted to fulfil as many of these wishes as possible, so we planned the day while taking everyone's opinions into account.
We visited a large showroom in Dhaka and the long-awaited Dhaka National Zoo,
enjoyed a delicious meal with plenty of meat...
The packed day truly flew by.
Moreover, at the luncheon, we heard from female entrepreneurs in Dhaka, received encouragement from our partners,
and reflected together on our journey so far. I believe it was a day of significant learning and inspiration for our factory staff.
Both the working mothers and their children genuinely enjoyed this day from the bottom of their hearts. Seeing so many smiles, different from those during work, made us very happy too.
エクマットラハンディクラフトファクトリーの９周年ピクニックを行いました。
昨年のピクニックが中止になってからずっと、もしピクニックできたらあそこに行きたい、あれを見たい、あれを食べたい、と沢山の希望があったので、今回はできるだけそうした彼女たちの希望を叶えてあげたいと思い、みんなの意見を汲み取りながら計画を立てました。
ダッカでしか買えないものが売っている大きなショールームや、ほとんどの母子が初めてだった念願のダッカ動物園を巡り、
お肉がたっぷりの美味しいご飯を食べて…
盛り沢山の１日は本当にあっという間でした。
また、昼食会にはダッカの女性起業家のお話を聞いたり、パートナーたちから激励をいただいたり、今までの歩みをみんなで振り返ったり、ファクトリースタッフたちにとって大きな学びと刺激を得られた１日だったのではないかと思います。
働いているお母さんたちも子どもたちも、この日を本当に心から楽しんでくれて、仕事中とはまた違う沢山の笑顔を見ることが出来て私たちも嬉しかったです。
