বাংলাদেশের স্বনামধন্য একজন স্থপতি রুমানা মালিক। তিনি দীর্ঘ ২৭ বছরেরও বেশি সময় ধরে স্থাপত্য শিল্পচর্চা করে যাচ্ছেন। ১৯৯০ সালে বার্মিংহাম স্কুল অব আর্কিটেকচার থেকে স্নাতক ডিগ্রি লাভ করেন। যুক্তরাজ্যে থাকাকালীন ব্যক্তিগত সংস্থা, সরকারি এবং কর্পোরেট সংস্থার জন্য স্থাপত্য শিল্পচর্চা চালিয়ে যান তিনি। ১৯৯৪ সালে বাংলাদেশে এসে প্রথমে যোগ দেন বশিরুল হক এন্ড অ্যাসোসিয়েটস এবং ইনডেক্স আর্কিটেক্টস নামের প্রতিষ্ঠানে। পরবর্তীতে তিনি বিল্ডিং টেকনোলজি অ্যান্ড আইডিয়া লিমিটেডে ডিজাইন বিভাগের নির্বাহী পরিচালক হন। এরপরে নিজে গড়ে তোলেন ‘রুমানা মালিক অ্যান্ড অ্যাসোসিয়েটস নামের একটি প্রতিষ্ঠান। এযাবৎ তিনি বেশ কিছু দৃষ্টিনন্দন স্থাপনার ডিজাইন ও ইন্টেরিয়র করেছেন। স্থাপত্যচর্চার পাশাপাশি তিনি রয়েল ইনস্টিটিউট অব ব্রিটিশ আর্কিটেক্টস (RIBA) এবং ইনস্টিটিউট অব আর্কিটেক্টস বাংলাদেশ (IAB) এর সদস্য। তিনি লিডারশিপ ইন এনার্জি এন্ড এনভায়রনমেন্টাল ডিজাইন (LEED AP) সনদ প্রাপ্ত। এছাড়াও তিনি ওমেন আর্কিটেক্টস, ইঞ্জিনিয়ার্স, প্লানার্স অ্যাসোসিয়েশন (WAEPA) এর সদস্য।
