Today on May 24, 2026 Sunday, CORR-The Jute Works hosted a special event to mark Laudato Si' Week-2026. Staff members of CJW attended the event and expressed solidarity with impact of Laudato Si. Dr. Fr. Liton Hubert Gomes, C.S.C., Secretary of the `Episcopal Commission for Promoting Integral Human Development -CBCB', present in the event as Chief Guest. The program opened with a welcoming and introductory address by the Director Ms. Rita Roselin Costa. Chief Guest Dr. Fr. Liton Hubert Gomes, C.S.C. extensively shared on the theme-"From Hope to Action". The topic further explored by several staff members. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from the Deputy Director Mr. Uzzal Theotonious Corraya.

CORR-The Jute Works (CJW) celebrated the World Fair Trade Day 2026 on 9 May 2026, Saturday with the theme of "Together we are the ". All CJW employee attended the event and the Director of CJW Ms. Rita Roselin Costa presided over the Program. The Director delivered welcome speech where the other speakers shared the detailed of ten principles and other insights of fair-trade movement. Participants renewed their determination for the fair-trade business revolution. Finally, the event concluded with the closing remarks by the Deputy Director Mr. Uzzal Theotonious Corraya.

CORR - The Jute Works (CJW) employee celebrated the Bangali New year "𝐏𝐨𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐡 𝟏𝟒𝟑𝟑" at its Gulshan Office premises in a festive manner. The Director Ms. Rita Roselin Costa expressed her warm greetings and shared inspiring speech. The staff members shared their thoughts and experiences, expressing their commitment to embrace the challenges and opportunities of Bangoli New Year 1433 with enthusiasm, dedication and new hope.

CORR-The Jute Works (CJW) celebrated the Caritas Sunday and Long Service Award Giving Ceremony as part of the Lenten Campaign [Teg O Seba Abhijan (TOSA)] 2026 at its Gulshan Office on Sunday, 15 March 2026. The theme of this year is “Prayer, Listening and Fasting: A Holy Call of Inner Transformation” – "প্রার্থনা, শ্রবণ ও উপবাস: আত্মরূপান্তরের পবিত্র আহ্বান"
His Excellency Most Rev. Bejoy N. D’Cruze, OMI, Archbishop of Dhaka Catholic Archdiocese grace the event as Chief Guest where Rev. Father Ripon Rozario, S.J, Mission Superior of Bangladesh Jesuit Mission and Mr. Remi S. Das, Director (Finance & Administration) - Caritas Bangladesh were present as the Special Guests. The event was presided over by Ms. Rita Roselin Costa, Director, CJW.

On Sunday 8 March 2026, CORR-The Jute Works (CJW) observed International Women's Day 2026 with the theme "Rights, Justice, Action. For all Women and Girls." in its Gulshan office. Ms. Tahmina Yesmin, Expert - Gender & Women Rights, grace the program as Chief Guest and delivered the ins and outs of the day observations. The event started with the welcome speech from the Director Ms. Rita Roselin Costa while she shared in-detail regarding the theme of this year. Staff representatives also expressed their views and opinions for a communal society with human dignity with the learning from International Women's Day Celebrations. Since it's inception, CJW has been working for development and empowerment of the underprivileged rural women to ensure their social rights and dignity. The Deputy Director Mr. Uzzal Theotonious Corraya urging all employees of CJW to renewal of their commitment to work as a team for establishing the gender equality aiming a society with mutual love, respect and justice.

𝐎𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠.
On February 8, 2026, CORR-The Jute Works (CJW) observed the World Day of Prayer and Awareness against Trafficking under the theme, "Peace begins with Dignity: A Global call to end Human Trafficking." All CJW staff renew their pledge to defend the dignity of the marginalized and raise their voices against human exploitation.
The event featured with candle-lighting symbolling the Peace, Faith, Love, Justice, and Hope, alongside a tribute to Saint Bakhita. Key insights were provided by Mr. Blaise Anthony Gomes of BRAC, who discussed migration challenges. Anti-trafficking policy of Caritas Bangladesh was recaps in the event for the participants. The program was wrapped-up with a vote of thanks from the Deputy Director Mr. Uzzal Theotonious Corraya where he reflected the summary of the event and requesting all to stand against human trafficking.

On January 30, 2026 Friday, CORR-The Jute Works (CJW) celebrated it's Family Day & Thanksgiving Ceremony 2026 at MAWTS of Caritas Mirpur Campus under the inspiring theme,"𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠-𝐮𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐣𝐨𝐲."
The employees of CJW with their family members joined together in the day-long program. CJW Director Ms. Rita Roselin Costa welcomed the participants and Dr. Fr. Tapon Camelus D' Rozario shared his insights on the day's theme. The joyful event featured a diverse itinerary of self-introducing, sharing on theme, sports, cultural performances, raffle-draw and thanksgiving to each other for making the event highly successful and memorable one.

The CORR-The Jute Works (CJW) Half-Yearly Staff Coordination Meeting took place on Monday, January 5, 2026, at the Gulshan office. Presided over by Director Ms. Rita Roselin Costa, the session opened with her welcoming speech. Each department of CJW presented a review of the past six months, highlighting key achievements, challenges and strategic plans for the future. To close the proceedings, Deputy Director Mr. Uzzal Theotonious Corraya expressed his appreciation for the team's hard work and dedication.

On the 1st day of New Year 2026, the team at CORR-The Jute Works gathered in a festive spirit for Christmas reunion and New Year celebration. Director Ms. Rita Roselin Costa opened the event by wishing everyone a Happy New Year and encouraging the staff to work together with new commitments even more closely to overcome future challenges. Key global and national news and information’s were shared, alongside the company’s recent progress, achievements, and hurdles. The celebration concluded enjoying a traditional Pitha Utshob (Rice Cake Festival), where employees enthusiastically prepared and shared different types of Pithas (handmade rice cakes/cookies) with each other.

CORR-The Jute Works (CJW) distributed blankets and warm cloths as a solidarity towards the winter affected needy family of Kewachala, Sreepur upazila under Gazipur. As on December 21, 2025 Sunday, local parish priest Reverend Patrick Simon Gomes, handed over the gifts as Chief Guest to the 50 Nos. local family. The event was coordinated by Caritas Dhaka Region where Mr. Martin Gomes, Manager (D & I) and Mr. Joy John Gomes, Senior Admin Officer were present as CJW representative to facilitate the distribution program as a part of our social responsibilities.
