আজ আমাদের কারুপন্য এর ৩২ বছর পূর্ণ হলো ।
১৯৯১ সালের এই দিনে প্রেসক্লাবে ছোট্ট একটি ছবির দোকান থেকে যাত্রা শুরু করে কারুপন্য।
এখন কারুপণ্য এশিয়া মহাদেশের সবচেয়ে বড় সবুজ শতরঞ্জি কারখানায় পরিনত হয়েছে ।
এই অসাধ্য সম্ভব করেছেন কারুপণ্য এর ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক শফিকুল আলম সেলিম।
চিন্তা করতেও গর্ব হয়, আমাদের কারুপণ্য এর শতরঞ্জি সারা পৃথিবী ব্যাপী ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে, কর্মসংস্থান তৈরি করেছে রংপুর এর হাজার হাজার মানুষের, প্রতি বছরই রপ্তানিতে স্বর্ণ পদক পাচ্ছে ।

শুভ জন্মদিন কারুপন্য, আরও এগিয়ে যাক তোমার এই পথচলা ।।।

Today is 32th anniversary of our Karupannya.
On this day in 1991, Karupannya started her journey from a small photo shop in the Press Club.
Now Karupannya have become the largest Green Carpet factory in Asia.
Shafiqul Alam Selim, managing director of Karupannya, has made this impossible to possible.
We are also proud to think that our Karupannya are being exported to all over the world, thousands of people in Rangpur have been employed and are getting gold medals in exports every year.

বিজিএমইএর ‘মেড ইন বাংলাদেশ’ সপ্তাহে পরিবেশবান্ধব ও সৃষ্টিশীল উদ্যোক্তাদের সম্মাননা দেয়া হয়েছে। সামাজিক এবং পরিবেশগত স্থায়িত্বের পাশাপাশি বাংলাদেশের টেক্সটাইল সেক্টরে উদ্ভাবনী অনুশীলন ও কর্মকাণ্ডের জন্য ১৮টি বিভাগে প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলোকে সম্মানিত করা হয়।

পুরস্কারগুলো তিনটি শ্রেণিতে ভাগ করা হয়েছে। সামাজিক প্রতিপালন, পরিবেশগত উৎকর্ষতা, এবং উদ্ভাবনী শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব-এই তিনটি শ্রেণির অধীনে নয়টি উপ-বিভাগে পুরস্কারগুলো দেওয়া হয় ।

"Karupanya Rangpur Limited" was the winner in the category of best innovation in business and runner up in the category of textile waste recycling in the latest Innovation Excellence.

Eco-friendly and creative entrepreneurs were honored during BGMEA's 'Made in Bangladesh' week. Organizations are honored in 18 categories for social and environmental sustainability as well as innovative practices and activities in Bangladesh's textile sector.

The awards are divided into three categories. The awards are presented in nine sub-categories under three categories – social stewardship, environmental excellence, and innovation excellence.
