When we feel hungry but don't eat, a powerful biological process called Autophagy is activated in our body.

🔬 What is Autophagy?

Autophagy is a natural cleaning process in which our healthy cells break down and recycle damaged or harmful components—like old proteins or malfunctioning parts of the cell.
It literally means "self-eating."

⏳ When Does Autophagy Happen the Most?

During fasting (when we don’t eat for several hours),

While doing regular exercise,

Or in periods of low food intake.

🍗 Chicken Roast Recipe (Bangladeshi Style)

Ingredients:

1 kg chicken (cut into medium pieces)

1/2 cup yogurt

2 tbsp ginger paste

2 tbsp garlic paste

2 medium onions (thinly sliced and fried until golden)

1 tsp red chili powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp cumin powder

1 tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp garam masala powder

4-5 green cardamoms

4-5 cloves

1 cinnamon stick

2 bay leaves

1/2 cup oil or ghee

Salt to taste

1 tsp sugar (optional)

1/4 cup milk

1 pinch saffron (optional)

2 tbsp rose water or kewra water

Instructions:

1. Marinate the chicken with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, chili, cumin, coriander powder, and salt. Let it rest for 1-2 hours.

2. Heat oil or ghee in a pan. Add bay leaves, cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon. Sauté until aromatic.

3. Add the marinated chicken and cook on medium heat until oil starts to separate.

4. Add fried onions and a bit of water. Cover and cook until chicken is tender.

5. Add milk, saffron (if using), rose water/kewra, and sugar. Cook for 5-7 minutes on low flame.

6. Finally, sprinkle garam masala and give it a final stir. Your delicious chicken roast is ready to serve!

Best served with: Polao, plain rice, or paratha.
