People say generational curse. I would rename it as generational nerv.
We inhabit nervous system from previous generations.
Same temper as father or graceful as mother. Repeating cycles, mistakes, achievements, or lifestyle.
But never repeating development.
We are just stuck in automated reality.
Everything is just newly same.
Development comes from growth or growth is just the testament of development.
Growth takes a different route to different story while rewiring our nervous system. That's why people say growth hits different.
"Something feels different or something is just changed."
Change of reaction
Change of perception
Change of comprehension
Change of lifestyle.
Rewriting a different story with the same pen inherited from generations after generations.
So, we don't cut ties with curse in an intagible way. But with a logical approach. Intentionally reshaping something that has been passed down and persuaded by people after people. We simply reappear different; with different way of nervous wiring.
Thus, we break something abstract with constructive move.
