But inspiration rarely comes from one place alone.⁠

In details that were not designed to be noticed.⁠
⁠
A form. A texture. A gesture.⁠
⁠
Here, a fragment of the Abrazo Lounge Chair by . A piece that explores softness as form, balancing presence and restraint.⁠

Impressies uit wandelingen, reizen en herinneringen,
brengen inspiratie voor kleuren en vormen.
Een ode aan textuur en imperfectie in discrete, aardse kleuren.
•

Oude of vergeten documenten en objecten krijgen een nieuwe betekenis. Herinneringen worden zo gearchiveerd.
•

Hout, doek, karton en klei bieden volume en oppervlak om de onderliggende structuur te verdoezelen of te accentueren. De werken krijgen op die manier een diepte en gelaagdheid.
•

Minutieus verscheurde stukjes papieren karton worden verwerkt en samengevoegd tot de juiste laag en bedekt met trouvailles uit de natuur, stof, touw, verf, pigmenten, vernis…
De drager gaat in interactie met de lagen verf en een gaat een eigen leven gaan leiden, ze vervloeien, barsten, scheuren of eroderen. Hoe het werk er gaat uitzien is altijd een verrassing.
