From dated grey to radiant emerald 💚

This open-plan kitchen got a whole new life, without changing its soul. For this remodel, we kept the existing structure, refreshed the doors and drawers with a rich emerald green, and elevated the space with a marble-look Himacs countertop and matching backsplash. Silver accents on the k***s and faucets add just the right touch of understated elegance.

Bathed in natural sunlight and flowing seamlessly into a bright Scandi-style living room, this makeover proves that transformation doesn’t always mean starting from scratch. Sometimes, it’s all about reimagining what’s already there, and letting it shine beautifully.

Sound comfort at the office 🏢🔇👌

With the rise of open-plan workspaces, promoting collaborative work, community, creativity, and innovation, acoustics can easily remained overlooked: as a result, unwanted sound is today a common complaint, impacting concentration, productivity, stress and overall wellbeing.

Thankfully, there’s a bunch of design strategies you can implement to reduce background noise and create quieter working environments, while adding colour, texture and volume into the space.

It’s always exciting to receive photos of a project you’ve long imagined, then designed, and finally worked on for months 🌞

ARTS 20 is a lounge project completed in Brussels for the ground floor of an office building.

The brief was to create a modular and elegant design that could harmoniously fit into the surrounding space (reception hall and conference room) while providing a soothing and welcoming environment for visitors and employees.

Our client wanted to inject a delicate touch of colour into the monochrome room, without setting the scheme apart from the rest of building.

For them, we imagined a refined oasis at dusk, aimed at bringing the outdoors indoors and offering guests a moment of tranquillity and peace.

To achieve this feeling, we proposed a gentle palette made of ochres, warm greens and soft browns, brought to life through organic shapes and natural materials like lava stone, wool, minerals and wood.

To set a rhythm across the space and avoid a boring feeling, we played with contrasting finishes: chrome details to reflect light and add sophistication, warm fabrics and rough mineral coatings to keep the design earthy and grounded.

In the background, a natural panoramic wallpaper lushly embraces the lounge and set a soft vibe. In the foreground, bespoke planters with a mineral texture bring a touch of greenery and visually separate the area from the surrounding space.

Hello everyone 🌞

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a picture of myself here, and after a memorable photo session with photographer last month it seems I clearly have no more excuses ;)

For the ones who don’t know me, my name is Silvia and I’m the founder of Studio Curated. Interior designer, consultant and creative director, I’ve opened my own practice in 2022 after working for a decade in the branding and communication industry, and running one of the first coworking spaces in Brussels. Today, I love making the most of my skills and professional journey to help you create inspired and experience-driven spaces that improve daily life, empower meaningful brands and build strong communities.

To me, design is more than aesthetic and function - it’s also a form of resistance and responsibility. Especially during the darkest times, shaping kind, joyful, thoughtful and sustainable spaces is one of the most powerful things we can do to tell where we stand, what we believe in and which future we want to envision.

From the Bauhaus movement to contemporary interiors, the chrome aesthetic has been experiencing an undeniable resurgence over the last couple of years. Polished metallics, like steel, chrome and aluminium reappear in our homes and offices to shine confidence and optimism through minimal, functional and reflective surfaces — adding clarity, sophistication and a cool contrast to the spaces we live in.

We love them because: they both feel fresh and historically relevant, calling back the functional and geometric style of the 1920s and 1930s - reinterpreted with modern flair in the 1970s, and paying homage to great names like Le Corbusier, Mies Van Der Rohe, Gropius and Breuer.

COMMUNE ~ Interior Renovation ~ 70m2

Commune is a duplex tucked under the roof of a small building in Brussels. Like an old and tired gentleman, it needed as much love as the light that fills it when there’s even just a faint ray of sunshine in the Belgian sky.

To welcome A and P’s new nest, we brought a bit of sweetness, kindness and colour into the house: a fresh palette of rosemary and yellow greens, earthy pinks, burgundy reds, creamy whites and sunny browns carries the harmony of nature, while the raw texture of zellige tiles, rattan, wood, clay and straw holds the flavour of a much loved Mediterranean.

The brief included the full renovation of the bathroom and the design of a new open plan kitchen; the transformation of the toilet and laundry rooms into a new walk-in closet; the design of bespoke furniture and storage solution for the main rooms.

After 3 months of works the project is now finally completed. Before & after pictures will follow soon 💫

In the meanwhile, we wish A&P a joyful life into their new home!

Jette living room, a blank canvas for colour to shine 🤍

A few days ago Pantone has nominated a shade of white – ‘Cloud Dancer’ – as its 2026 Colour of the Year, describing it as a symbol of calming influence in a frenetic society.

Are we sad? Absolutely not.

Beyond being a beautiful shade of white, with the perfect balance of warm and cool undertones, white is a powerful colour that helps other colours to shine. In an oversaturated world, it brings a breath of fresh air, gives a message of hope and peace, helps us stay calm and focused, and keeps things balanced and kind.

In interior spaces, it’s a versatile colour that acts as a blank canvas, maximising light and space while offering the flexibility to introduce a wide range of accent colours and textures. It enables other design elements such as bold artworks, furniture and accessories, to become the room’s focal point.

In this project, for instance, a white canvas allowed us to create a perfect balance between softness and dynamism, using pastel colours as a base on large furniture and enhancing their brightness and liveliness through accents of bolder colours. This way, you can create a vibrant and modern atmosphere that doesn’t visually overload your space, perfect for giving character to any interior. Black details (frames, vases) add depth and a touch of sophisticated elegance.
