Design & Manufacturing of high-end architectural hardware

14/10/2026

For Andreas Martin-Löf, compact living is not about limitation, but about clarity, where every choice becomes essential.
The Tiny Houses project shows how architecture, material and detail come together within a reduced footprint, without compromising on quality or atmosphere.

When every material is chosen with intention, even the smallest details become part of the architecture.

Set against the rich grain of the wood, our 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐳𝐞 introduces a subtle contrast, dark enough to define itself, yet warm enough to remain connected to the surrounding material palette.
A small element, considered as part of the whole.

The right detail rarely starts with a product.

It starts with a conversation. About materials, proportions, finishes, the architecture around it and how a space should ultimately feel.
Behind SUMUM is a team that knows our collection down to the smallest detail, but more importantly, knows how to translate that knowledge into the right choice for each project.

From a first idea to the final combination, we’re here to think along.

Technology belongs in an interior. But it doesn’t have to look like technology.

In her own home, Maike Borst of Studio &Space brings modern comfort together with a deeply considered material palette, where every element feels intentional.
Our round switches in Antique Bronze become part of that composition. Their warmly textured, hand-finished surface sits naturally alongside the warmth and character of the materials around them, allowing functionality to quietly become part of the architecture.

Because the smallest details can have a lasting effect on how a space feels.

Not every material needs warmth to create atmosphere.

Brushed Nickel introduces a cooler, more precise note into an interior, particularly alongside stone, concrete, glass or pale timber. Its brushed surface softens the metallic character, allowing it to sit naturally within the architecture.

Materials set the tone of an interior.

When colours, textures and finishes come together naturally, they create more than visual harmony. They bring a sense of calm, character and belonging to a space.
Our showrooms are the perfect place to bring those materials together, compare finishes and find the combination that feels unmistakably yours.

Some details are designed to disappear. Others quietly define the space.

In this Antwerp townhouse by am designs, our core round switches and outlets become part of the interior’s carefully considered material palette. Brushed Copper echoes the warmth of the brass-toned lighting and fittings throughout the home, while Black Bronze introduces a deeper, more understated contrast.
For this project, the switches and outlets were flush-mounted rather than surface-mounted, allowing them to sit even more precisely within the wall finish.

From the generous ceiling heights to the bespoke joinery, travertine and refined wall treatments, craftsmanship can be felt throughout every room.

Some details are designed to be experienced up close.

The curve of the form.
The texture of the finish.
The way light meets the surface.

Our reading light brings together precision, material depth and quiet functionality in one refined architectural detail.

Architectural hardware is never just functional.
It defines how a space is used, but also how it feels.

In this interior, our brushed nickel outlets become part of a calm and coherent material palette, balancing warm tones with a refined metallic detail. They are subtle in presence, precise in finish and naturally integrated into the architectural language.

One Collection. Five distinct expressions.

With five carefully defined shapes and a range of button configurations, the Core Collection offers a quiet framework for composition. Round, square, pin, hex or needle — each form brings its own character, while remaining part of one coherent architectural language.
Our core collection comes with configurations of one, two or four buttons.
Beyond these core layouts, each plate can be further tailored through custom combinations, functions, engravings and finishes. Allowing the smallest architectural detail to respond precisely to the wider interior concept.

A system designed for coherence. With endless room for individuality.
