The Fossile Table is a new addition to our range of dining tables, designed and crafted for Shady Taghizadeh and ChristopheV . The design brings together wood, stone and sculpture into a single harmonious whole.
The table is crafted from solid oak and features a central inlay of Travertin Rosso. This stone provides a practical surface for hot dishes and pans, whilst its rich texture and warm colour lend the design a distinct natural presence.
The legs, sides and underside of the table have been carved with gouges, creating organic forms that evoke fossils and geological structures. In this way, every detail contributes to a narrative of time, nature and craftsmanship.
As a playful reference to the cut-out holes in the travertine, we also designed a series of small sculptural objects. These can be placed around the tabletop as decorative elements, enhancing the table’s unique character.
