Framing the transition between Hasselt’s urban fabric and the landscape of Kapermolenpark, the project introduces a contemporary residential ensemble rooted in openness, greenery, and human scale. A composition of six distinct volumes defines a new living environment where architecture and landscape are intrinsically connected. By enhancing ecological corridors, creating generous communal spaces, and embracing a diverse housing programme, the design aspires to become a meaningful extension of its surroundings.

From the first ideas of a masterplan to the smallest interventions within a building, we consider every layer part of the same design process. Working across scales creates continuity throughout a project, allowing context, atmosphere and experience to be carried through from the bigger picture down to the finest detail.

Within this approach, details are more than finishing touches. Thoughtful details contribute to environments that feel intuitive and naturally guide people through a project.

The same approach extends to signage and wayfinding. Developed in house and tailored specifically to each project, every system responds to its atmosphere and spatial experience. Rather than existing as a separate layer, graphic elements become a natural extension of the architecture and integrate seamlessly into the overall design.

The story of La Botte is one of dedication, family, passion, and Italian spirit. Bringing people together around the table has always been at its heart, and over the years, the family has shaped its own path in doing so. Today, La Botte is defined not only by the purity and intensity of its flavors, but equally by its deeply rooted, familial sense of hospitality.

The translation of this Italian hospitality into a warm, homelike interior became a soulful exercise, guided by tactility and sensory experience. Drawing subtle inspiration from the Italian 1920s, the design balances refinement with emotion, where every detail is carefully considered. The material palette formed the starting point: a powerful natural stone set against the softness of delicate fabrics, enriched by an expressive yet elegant language of forms.

Designed entirely around connection, various seating arrangements were created, all oriented towards the open kitchen. At the same time, a strong dialogue with the outside world enhances the sense of place. Ring the bell, step inside, and experience La Botte as a place where coming home, being welcomed, and saying goodbye are all part of one continuous, meaningful gesture.

From there, we translate this understanding into architecture that is meaningful, resilient, and capable of creating long-term value for both users and clients.

Renders allow us to explore and communicate a project long before construction begins. We place the visuals alongside the built reality, revealing how design intentions translate into space, material, and experience.

Kiezelparking defines its presence through a carefully articulated façade, where aluminum fins and recessed glazing create a layered, textured surface that balances privacy with openness. Terraces extend from the apartments, linking interior spaces with the courtyard and the street, while a green layer of grasses softens the base and integrates the building into its surroundings.

The volumes are arranged to optimize natural light and sightlines, while the inner courtyard fosters community and connectivity. Through these gestures, the building achieves a sense of rhythm, openness, and adaptability, transforming a former gravel lot into a lively, sustainable, and visually engaging urban environment.
