The Stump
A unique piece of furniture, crafted from ash tree stumps that were once rooted in the soil of Ronse. Each stump has its own natural shape and character.
Thanks to the modular design, you can rearrange the stumps or use them individually as side tables.
The metal base, handcrafted by our blacksmith and inspired by the structure of a tree, makes the stumps appear to float, as it were. A playful and sculptural piece of furniture that brings together movement, nature and craftsmanship.

Laag energiepeil, hoog comfort.

Low energy consumption, high comfort.
The building’s low energy demand makes it possible to create open, interconnected spaces that flow naturally into one another. Natural insulation materials help regulate humidity and retain heat, while underfloor heating ensures a consistently comfortable indoor climate.
The heat pump is fitted with a Qstore storage tank, allowing energy to be stored and used efficiently.

A cupboard as a room divider
Custom-designed and crafted in our workshops in Ronse.
The original terracotta tiles from the building were given a new life in this piece of furniture, creating a visual connection with the kitchen and dining table, where we used the same tiles. The steel frame and herringbone-patterned wooden panels pay homage to the Wagenhuys’ industrial heritage. The former access hatch also featured a herringbone pattern, a subtle nod to the building’s past.
A piece where materials, history and contemporary craftsmanship come together.

Voedselbos

Food Forest
While lawns in many gardens turned brown and parched, almost like desert landscapes, our newly planted food forest remained a green oasis of young trees, shrubs, perennials, herbs and ground-cover plants. Even during the long drought, I only had to give the most delicate new plants a little extra water.
This little corner of the garden is where I truly find peace. And every time I return, I come away with fresh greens, fruit, nuts or a beautiful bouquet of wild-picked flowers. For me, it is an investment in biodiversity, the climate, healthy soil, myself and the future.

Project Wagenhuys

The Wagenhuys Project
A beautiful interior often comes down to visual calm.
A consistent choice of materials helps to achieve this.
In this renovation, we worked with sleek steel and weathered wood.
