A successful project starts long before the first demolition works begin.

Whether it's a renovation or a new build, 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝗽𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹. By developing the full design and technical plans before ex*****on starts, potential issues can be identified and resolved on paper rather than on site.

This approach provides clarity for the client and creates a clear roadmap for every contractor involved. When everyone works from the same vision, decisions are made faster, ex*****on runs smoother, and costly surprises are avoided.

Rather than dividing the bathroom, a central volume was introduced, deliberately stopping short of the ceiling to maintain openness and flow. Within this structure, every function finds its place, from shower to storage, basin, bath and toilet.

Nothing standard, everything considered.

▪ An 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 that invites the eye to move through the space.
By allowing clear sightlines, the staircase enhances the sense of openness, making the architecture feel lighter and more expansive. Built in plate steel by Genico creative stairs, its raw, blasted steps introduce a tactile contrast against the softness of the interior.

What appears effortless is 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲, the entire structure rests on just three points. A balance between transparency, character, and expression.

For Niels, every project starts by thinking beyond the obvious.

Out-of-the-box thinking forms the foundation, but it's through the design that ideas take shape. From there, the process becomes tangible. Moodboards are used to test, combine, and truly experience materials, especially when working with bespoke finishes like custom lacquers on wood. Seeing and feeling those materials is essential to making the right decisions.

At the same time, every detail is considered from the start, from tapware to sockets, all integrated into the total concept. Because in the end, 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆. A space where everything aligns.

𝗪𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲.
This kitchen of residence TM is located in the circulation zone of the house. In order not to feel like you are just walking through the kitchen, all the appliances are concealed. The biggest challenge was the hob and the extractor. Those were hidden under the tablet in the San Simone natural stone of Potier Stone. The kitchen tablet was automated together with De Maatwerker team. Once opened, you can cook on the Novy Belgium hob with integrated extractor.

We approached this bathroom through a single reference point. The shower tiles set the tone, guiding the selection of the green basin and the warmth of the gold fixtures. Mortex walls create continuity, while wood softens the composition.

The client envisioned 𝗮 𝗸𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀.
Zebra White natural stone sets the tone, bookmatched and extended from the worktop to the side panels, forming a statement.

The color of the lacquered cabinetry was carefully aligned with the tones of the stone, keeping the composition balanced and composed. The stone is treated with a stain protection by Potier, a deliberate choice that guarantees long-term quality and reflects our commitment to quality and sustainability.

Sustainability is found in the details. 𝗟𝗲𝗳𝘁𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 natural stone wasn’t discarded, it was 𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 and integrated into the bedroom. No waste, only reconsideration.

Within the compact layout, wardrobes flank the bed, each incorporating a recessed niche that doubles as bedside storage.

During demolition, 𝗮 𝗵𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗱: the original ceiling of the former carriage house.

What had long been concealed became a defining feature once more. Carefully restored, it preserves the building’s historic character while anchoring the contemporary design in authenticity.
