Classy red doctor bag in goat leather. I pimped a bit a model from my leather class to create a more minimalist version, hiding the clasp behind a front pocket. I love the model (but will never do it again, what a pain to create this one! 😅), do you?

Like a « bag to school » feeling with that model straight from my Saturday leather class. I was not a big fan of it first, but with the right selection of leather it has now a retro look that I learned to appreciate (the number of hours I worked on helped too 😅). Taurillon from and nubuk from , two of the best tanneries that also serve the most demanding luxury houses of the planet ❤️. Hope you like (learned to) it!

I had the pleasure to create a one of a kind tote bag in cognac taurillon. I love the model because it’s as practical as elegant. Basically you can take it along for every occasion. Inside you find a handy pocket to store your phone, make-up, sunglasses....and I have foreseen a golden zipper to close it and make sure your stuff...well, remains yours ;)

Des moules, des frites, une kriek,...there is no way 2022 won’t be tasty with that menu on your agenda ;)

In less than 7 days I will do my first Christmas Market ever (omg so excited!). And what for one! Only Belgian artisans (more than 100!) in a magnificent location (la gare maritime à tour et taxis in Brussels).

Those agenda covers were created for the occasion because I am Belgian and proud to be and because... I love un bon moules, frites too 😋. Who else?

So will you come too next Sunday?

When I decided to launch house of clem almost a year ago, there was a lot of uncertainties. But one element was sure, I wanted to keep it local, handmade and take care of the entire process - from drawing the creations till handling those to their new owners.

One of the first investment I did (after buying a stitching machine, skiving machine, tools, leather, ...😅) was this personalisation wonder. And I must say that so far I have zero regret. I use it for everything, branding my leather creations, packaging, thank you notes...and most importantly adding your unique messages on your creations to make those truly unique. All of this happens in my tiny place near Brussels, making it as local and handmade as it can be ♥️.

This weekend, I am getting ready for and brand lots of boxes and prepare some surprises with messages celebrating Belgium 🇧🇪. Come numerous on dec 12th this, I will welcome you warmly 🥳.

In love with details. Gold passepoil for that crossbody handbag and grained Lizard leather.

The bigger handbag was the first one I ever realised and I went for a cognac grained Caviar leather. Still one of my favorites.

Weekend means I can dedicate time to leather 👜. During the week I work in the corporate world and love it, but in the weekend I love to feed my soul and put my creativity out by creating some leather art (maybe I push a bit here, but you understand what I mean 😝). And for the next 2 days, there is enough on the plate to keep me busy and happy, so enjoy the sun for me (finally!) and wish me luck to not screw any creation as I won’t have enough time to re-do parts of it ;)

Last weekend before my holidays (yeah!) means I have some orders to finalise. And painting the edges is part of it.

Did you now that i paint by hand, up to three layers (more sometimes even...) all the edges of your creation? Between each layer, I will scrub the painting and let it melt with my electric creasing & edging tool that you see pictured here. The latest layer is then polished, with another head on this same machine, for a perfectly smooth result.

As you know, offering the best of leather goods is my aim, reason why I perfectionate every single piece until the last detail no matter the time it takes. 💕

Weekend is for quality time with my family and leather. From time to time my girls are open to learn some tips and tricks of leathercraft. Here I am doing a small demo of the skiving machine, making the edges of leather less thick. But I must admit technology interest them a little more 😅.

Yesterday evening when I came home, one of my girls told me she created a leather jacket for her plush when I was away. First drawing the pattern, then cutting and gluing some elements to finally do something that looks like stitching. I was soo proud! You can see the jacket on the second picture ✨. Sharing my passion is finally starting to work it seems!
