Even the names of our lamps were given meaning. We dove into the symbolism behind words and names that could capture the essence of each piece – whether it’s the feeling it evokes, the shape it takes, or the story it quietly tells.

Choosing the right textile was just as important. We explored a wide range of fabrics, textures and colors, searching for combinations that felt both timeless and fresh. It was about more than just what looked good – we wanted to create harmony.
For quality and character, we chose fabrics from – known for their rich textures and refined craftsmanship. A choice that reflects our commitment to lasting design.

We started sketching – experimenting with different shapes and forms until we found the ones that felt just right. Each silhouette was carefully considered for its aesthetic balance and its ability to bring warmth and character to a room.

Designing our Kapsul lamps was a journey shaped by thoughtful exploration and a deep love for detail. It all began with creative brainstorms, where we asked ourselves: what kind of lamp not only lights up a space, but also tells a story?
That story started with Valerie on ceramics and Rebecca on textiles — a collaboration rooted in craft. Today, it’s carried on with care by Val Pottery, where Valerie and her team continue the work with passion.
