atkova began working as an assistant in the studio of Prof. Anna Boyadzhieva at the National Academy of Arts - Sofia, where she participated in the training of students and helped successfully complete their annual and diploma projects / 2008-2011 /. The author's creative pursuits are in the direction of traditional weaving practices and their integration into contemporary artistic textiles and design. He studies the processes of development of the horizontal loom and weaving practices, from their origin to the present day. It seeks answers to the question of how these processes have affected modern textile production and the modern weaving craft. As a result of these researches, Miglena Tsvyatkova defended her dissertation on the topic "Fabric in textile design" / 2013. /. Other artistic practices that are the subject of interest and achievements for the author are felt, manipulated fabrics and reservations, dyeing with natural materials, free embroidery. Her works have been presented in numerous exhibitions in Bulgaria, France, Finland, Poland, Germany, USA and others. Since 2013, Dr. Miglena Petrova-Tsvyatkova has opened her own studio in the village of Bistritsa, where she practices modern textile craft. From 2017 Dr. Miglena Tsvyatkova is also engaged in teaching, teaching Applied Arts and Fine Arts to preschool children up to 12th grade.
