For over 30 years we, the artisans of Artesania Sorata, have been creating high quality alpaca knitwear for children and adults as well as original textile art inspired by our daily lives and ou
r Aymara culture. Our work has come to create a bond between our traditions, our culture and mother earth. All clothing is made by hand, using natural dyes and 100% pure alpaca yarn. Our textile art is made also using natural dyes with hand-spun, handwoven sheep’s wool fabric. The income generated by our work enables us to provide a more nourishing diet for our families as well as better health care and greater educational opportunities for our children. We believe in the right for all to live a healthy life with a positive outlook for the future.

Por más de 30 años nosotros, los artesanos de Artesania Sorata, hemos estado elaborando prendas de alpaca de alta calidad para niños y adultos, además arte- textil original inspirado por nuestras vidas cotidianas y nuestra cultura Aymara. Nuestro trabajo ha llegado a crear un vínculo entre nuestras tradiciones, nuestra cultura y la madre tierra. Nuestro trabajo respeta las tradiciones Aymaras. Todos nuestros tejidos están hechos a mano, utilizando tintes naturales y lana de alpaca, 100% pura. Nuestro artetextil está elaborado también utilizando tintes naturales y bayeta de la tierra (una tela hilada y tejida a mano de lana de oveja). Los ingresos que recibimos por nuestro trabajo nos dan la oportunidad de proveer una dieta más nutritiva a nuestras familias, así como también mejores servicios de salud y una mejor educación para nuestros hijos. Creemos que todos tenemos el derecho a vivir una vida saludable con una perspectiva positiva para el futuro.
