Well, hello there, little Chickie! 🐥🤎

Friends, I’d like you to meet LilChickie, the newest little face of Chickabay Creations!

She’s a little bit sweet, a little bit sassy, and has a whole lot of handmade love to share.

You might spot her popping up around here, keeping me company in the studio, getting into a little mischief, or reminding us that there’s always something worth smiling about.

And just like Chickabay itself, her name has a little family story behind it. My daughter Amanda was my original little Chickabay, and LilChickie is a sweet little nod to where it all began. 🤎

I hope she brings a little extra sunshine to your feed!

I’ve been meaning to share this story for quite some time… and today feels like the right day. 🤎

Chickabay Creations is about so much more than decorating old books.

It began with a name.

When my daughter Amanda was little, I called her Amanda May Chickabay. It was just a sweet little nickname for a sweet little girl—but years later, when I needed a name for my business, nothing else felt right.

Because Chickabay has always meant love.

And that same love has found its way into everything I create. Every book is carefully chosen, taken apart and given a new purpose by hand. Books that may have been forgotten or discarded become something meaningful again—a reminder of home, family, faith, laughter or the people and places we hold close.

Over the years, I’ve watched customers smile, laugh and even shed a few tears when a stack brings back a special memory. Those moments have shown me that these aren’t simply pieces of décor. They hold stories—both the stories they once carried and the new ones they become part of.

This carousel is a little glimpse into my story, my heart and the reason behind Chickabay Creations.
