The Retired Roper I am recently retired and my plan was to sew a few rope bowls for gifts and something to do. After doing a few I was hooked and so was everyone else.

Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend despite the weather.
Another rolled edge bowl. I have had this granny square edging for quite awhile. Thinking it would kind of go with the fabric on the bottom. Not quite what I was hoping but with the edging being 2” wide the roll had to be bigger than I wanted. However, I am pleased with it and hope you all like it.

I tried to capture the “Stock Show” look with this basket.
Whether a girl is into cattle, horses, sheep or any other livestock showing, this seems to be what girls are gravitating to.
I used pink rope with a bit of brown to go with the fabric print,
Then added a bit of bling all around to complete the look.
It would work great on a dresser for putting in hair accessories, jewelry, or even makeup. Just a really pretty accent container.

Good morning, This basket/bowl was fun to do, using royal blue and Timberwolf rope, one row of wrapped red bandana fabric, finished off with a braided edging like the lariat the boy has. Simple embellishment of feathers, shell casing, arrow and red and black beads. Simple but fun.

Here is a pretty little bowl. I used turquoise rope with dark brown for accent. I love the colourful design of the fabric as it goes with almost any color rope you choose. Embellishments were repurposed leather from a boot, 22 shell casing, and a few little odds and ends.
4 1/2” base x 3” tall
