When the material comes with a bunch of shorts and there is no place to hide them ( small closets, under kitchen appliances, etc) why not turn it into a feature?

This walkin closet is now a bit of an eye-popper and the herringbone pattern is placed in a way that it will remain visible when filled with clothes and shoes. The feature strips are custom made with wenge strips inlaid into dado grooves.

All joints are grooved and splined so that edges don't just depend on a glued butt joint. Do it right.

It's not hard to add custom features to really make your home your own! Call us with your ideas, we can probably make them come to life 😊

Another job of flattening old subfloors. There was a fairly large peak where the house had been added onto some time ago. We sanded most of the peak off and then added decreasing thickness plywood to decrease the slope. I'm now sanding it all flat. Lots of work but worth the effort.
