This Jacobean antique hutch has quite the journey behind it—passed down through family members until it finally found its way to my client. It’s a piece she’s loved since childhood, always admiring it at her grandmother’s home. 💛
Considering its age, it was in good condition—a true win, with minimal veneer repairs. After sharing some inspiration from past projects, my client chose a fresh white finish to suit her open-concept space.
While sanding the drawers to remove the alligator finish, I hit a moment of panic—the beautiful pattern started to disappear! That’s when I realized it was likely a faux-painted or inked design, a common detail in antique pieces. I shifted to Plan B… and honestly, it turned out even better than expected.
I replaced the bowed bottom shelf, enriched the exposed wood with a rich dark gel stain, and finished the hutch in a warm white for a soft, elegant contrast.
A meaningful piece, refreshed for a new chapter. ✨

I had the most incredible birthday getaway, with the most amazing human. I made time in my busy schedule to slow down, recharge and make memories that truly matter. Stepping away isn’t a setback—it’s what allows me to come back clearer, more creative and more productive. Life is short—live it to its fullest💛

Goodbye to the dated orange—hello to a fresh new look.
These three solid oak nesting tables got a beautiful transformation. I stripped away the old stain and applied a rich walnut finish to the tops and legs—but one table’s legs just wouldn’t take the stain like the others. 😩 After sanding and trying again (and again) with no luck, I switched to Plan B and painted the legs a deep chocolate colour.
I’m not mad about it…cause the walnut tops pair perfectly with the chocolate legs and the contrast adds so much character. Sometimes things don’t go as planned—but there’s always a way to make it work.

Happy to share these tables have found a new home!

These nightstands are a dime a dozen—veneer tops, cherry stain, nothing remarkable.
BUT-when my client found the perfect pair, she knew exactly how she wanted them to be transformed. The end result speaks for itself—and most importantly, the client loves them.

My client had been on the hunt for just the right pair of nightstands—and once she found them, she came to me with an inspo pic.
The real challenge was sanding the flawed areas on the veneer top without blowing through it. Slow and steady wins the race… if you know, you know 😜I preserved the top true to the inspiration, using a walnut oil stain to highlight its natural grain and warmth, perfectly balanced by the contrast of the black base.
Mission accomplished! A happy customer equals a win-win in my books!!!

Sometimes, a spark of vision and a hint of paint can reveal hidden beauty.

Don’t let these clips fool you. What you see is only a fraction of the work behind this piece. Passion drives me to stay focused until the vision becomes reality. I just love how it turned out.

There’s something special about restoring older furniture—each piece holds a history that makes the work even more meaningful. I was so excited to get started on this antique secretary knowing my client wanted to bring in a pop of colour. I often find that antique pieces truly come to life when they’re given a bold, statement colour. We chose this fresh, vibrant shade—Chestler from , a beautiful blend of blue and green.
This antique secretary desk is proof that a piece can live on with renewed beauty. An heirloom lovingly gifted by my client’s grandfather, now refreshed and ready to be cherished in her space.
