Our new KOTi 28 home is coming together inside SHOWROOM furniture + lighting | Ottawa in Stittsville.

This shop-inside-a-shop has been designed intentionally to bring our Nordic style to life. We've carefully chosen pieces that help make your home feel cozy, welcoming and beautifully you.

A smaller space, thoughtfully curated, with everything we love about KOTi 28. ✨

We’re back at it…and things are starting to take shape. ✨

After a month-long refresh, Courtney and I are in the new KOTi 28 space at SHOWROOM furniture + lighting | Ottawa , planning, dreaming and putting the finishing touches on our reopening.

We’re in the final stretch and we can't wait to start showing you what’s happening behind the scenes. 🤍

Have you ever wondered what KOTi 28 means? 🤍

It's one of the questions I'm asked most.

KOTi means "home" in Finnish. A word I discovered while teaching in Finland that has stayed with me ever since.

The 28 represents my 28 years in education. 🍎

Living in Finland also introduced me to the beauty of Scandinavian living. Homes that feel calm, warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully lived in. That philosophy has stayed with me, and it's how I've created my own home and it's the heart behind KOTi 28.

To me, home isn't about perfection. It's about how a space makes you feel.

Last week I locked one door...this week I'm opening another 🌿

Last week I locked the doors to our Arnprior showroom for the last time.

It was emotional.

But this morning I woke up excited.

Because the best thing about owning a small business is this...

✨Every ending creates room for another beginning.

✨ Right now my days look a little different.

✨ Less styling shelves.

✨ More planning.

✨ More dreaming.

✨ More building.

When I think about my journey with KOTi 28, one person always comes to mind...Nat. 🤍

Long before there was the business, there was a friendship. When I decided to take the leap into opening KOTi 28 in 2022, Nat never hesitated. She was all in from the very beginning.

She's been there through every milestone, every transition, every tough day, and every celebration. She believed in my dream, even when I questioned myself. She celebrated every win, picked me up when I needed it most, and quietly reminded me to keep going.

I'm so grateful we've shared this journey together, but even more grateful for our friendship. ❤️

If you've had the pleasure of meeting Nat, you know exactly what I mean. Her kindness, her beautiful smile, her warm personality, and her genuine care for every customer have made KOTi 28 a special place. And let's not forget...she's hands down the best gift wrapper you'll ever meet. 🎁✨

Nat, thank you for believing in me, the countless laughs, conversations, encouragement, and the unwavering support. I truly couldn't have done it without you.
