I recently got a rebrand photoshoot done by the incredible Mint Photo x Lisa
The photographs are incredible - however I want to take a moment to tell you all that the experience was way beyond what I could think of. Lisa is not only a true professional - but extremely creative - fun - uplifting - and a joy to be around.
Add CALGARY WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER (video to come!) who made it even more of a great experience. You might also recognize this duo from their popular podcast No F*cking Filter

Now a moment for the photos. Thinking back to when I started Hue - these are a reminder of how far I’ve come. I’m a bit older (grey coming in hot), and my pants are now oversized (trends are fun) - but most importantly I love that this chapter has given me the ability to create from the heart - for amazing people who I have met along the way. They also show me that I’ve been able to carve out a special niche for this amazing craft. I searched for years to find the right creative “thing” to do - glad that florals found me.

To all my clients/ couples/ planners past and present - thank you for trusting me with life’s important occasions. I love looking back at past weddings especially and seeing what we created ✨

I’m looking forward to the future and continuing to refine and push forward the art of floral design.

Some of my favourite client pieces are the ones that are inspired by them - the consult - or the life we live in.

Unpopular opinion: I don’t design by formulas.
“Always work in odd numbers.”
“Use this flower with that foliage.”
“Follow the rules.”

I let all of that go a long time ago… and that’s when everything became more beautiful.

I love all blooms.
All textures.
All foliage.

And if it feels right… it belongs.

Does design need rules? Or just instinct?

Beautiful mountain wedding in Banff yesterday. White sculptural florals and bleached Amaranthus made for a dramatic night celebrating D+T.
