Confession: sometimes I filch napkins. They might be from friends’ houses or other gatherings, but if I think they might look good on a card, in my purse they go!
Such is the case for this card. I think the napkin is from last year. I peeled the front from the back and modpodged the printed part onto card stock and trimmed the edges. I die cut the snowflake and adhered it to the rectangle that was lounging on my desk, waiting for assignment. A cute “Merry Wishes” is heat embossed in gold.

CAS (clean and simple) is easy with teeny cute snowmen from Gummiapan and an equally small sentiment.
I adhered all elements to a strip of white card stock and then adhered that to a strip of Christmas patterned paper.

There are a lot of cards to be posted so I’m going to attempt three posts a week until I’m caught up!
Here’s another card made for a challenge: silver and blue.
The snowflakes are die cut from a super glittery gift bag that was falling apart! A lot of glitter paper has a plastic-like backing on it which makes it difficult for the die to cut through, but the gift bag didn’t have that and so there was no issue cutting clean through. Also, very thrifty of me to re-purpose the bag.
The snowflakes are adhered to a snowflake background and the sentiment is simply stamped and adhered. Quick and easy!

This card came together quick and easy, thanks to paper and elements from Simply Stated Design. I made the card for a Christmas in July challenge, the colours being green and gold.
I used gold embossing powder for the sentiment.

After colouring the snowman I added a little bit of glitter paste for the whipped cream and snow on the ground.

This card was experiment and testing.
I’ve seen a lot of cards where the embossed images are coloured, so I gave it a try.
I inked a brayer and rolled it over the raised images.
Then I wanted to try a new die that looks like an old journal page. I used it on a piece of Simply Stated Design paper that was lounging around on my desk.
The card was meant to be done for a challenge but I didn’t get it done, so it’s a bit out of season.
The next group of cards are all Christmas cards! Also out of season but never too early to start making them!

Similar to the previously posted card, this is also CAS and pretty much the same layout.
This is a great way to use up scrap paper. The cupcake is a mini punch which is done first. Then you can use a square die or punch to make sure the cupcake is centered.
I stamped the sentiment along the twine and put a little rhinestone accent on the cupcake.

I kept the sentiment simple and added rhinestones. They’re hard to resist!

The outline of this butterfly is from the previously posted card. I adhered onto a circle and made another butterfly cut, gluing the pieces into the wings. I added rhinestones and stamped a sentiment underneath.
