I have always enjoyed gardening and making crafts. Recently I also became a backyard beekeeper. I started Homegrown & Handmade by Kristina so I could share the items that I grow and make, with you! Lemon Blueberry Sourdough Focaccia 🍋🫐

Made this yesterday and wow… it turned out so good. I used my usual sourdough recipe, pressed the dough into a well oiled cast iron pan, and topped it with blueberries, fresh lemon zest, brown sugar, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Next time, I think I’ll fold everything right into the dough for even more flavor in every bite. Finished it off with a lemony cream cheese icing and yes, it’s just as good as it sounds 🤤

If my kid is invited to your kid’s birthday party, they are probably getting a toque for a present 😆

It’s funny, in each of my daughters’ classes, there are 6 or 7 😉 kids with matching toques. Different colours though so they can tell them apart.

I think these toques are a great gift idea. The kids are always happy to get one and it’s not just another toy that’s going to lay around the house. Message me if you would like to order one!

My family grew this wheat 🌾 and now I get to turn it into bread 🍞

We got a little grain mill for Christmas and I used it for the first time the other day. So neat to be able to turn grain from our family farm into fresh milled flour to bake with. And bonus - this wheat wasn’t sprayed with glyphosate 🙌🏼

I just used my normal bread recipe but added a bit more water. It turned out soft and fluffy and the kids even liked it 👍🏼

✨ It’s craft sale season ✨

This weekend I’m going to be at the Beausejour Christmas Craft Show and Sale. It’s at the Brokenhead Community Hall, 320 Veterans Lane. November 7th from 11am to 8pm, and November 8th from 10am to 5pm.

The weekend after you will find me at the Lac du Bonnet Christmas Gift and Craft Sale. It’s at the Community Centre, 25 McArthur Ave from 10am to 3pm.
