✨ Primary Bathroom sneak peek ✨
(still working on finishing touches for this house remodel)

One of my favourite things about a full-house remodel is the opportunity to rethink every space from the ground up. With this project, we weren’t limited by the existing layout, which gave us the freedom to create a primary bathroom that feels both functional and beautiful.

Every decision was made with intention, from the layout to the finishes, resulting in a space that feels like a true retreat rather than just a place to get ready in the morning.

Good design isn’t always about adding more; it’s about creating spaces that work beautifully for the people who live in them.

✨ Bonus question: Can you guess which element of this bathroom was our starting point for the entire design? 👇

A beautiful entryway doesn’t need to be filled with furniture and decor to make an impact. In fact, sometimes the most functional spaces are the simplest ones.

For this entryway, every piece was intentionally selected to support the way this family actually lives. By keeping the space open and uncluttered, there’s plenty of room for groceries, backpacks, winter boots, and all the everyday moments that happen at the front door.

One of the biggest misconceptions about hiring a designer is that it means adding more decor, more furniture, more expense. The reality is that good design is about choosing the right things, not the most things. It’s about creating a home that works beautifully for your lifestyle while feeling effortless and inviting.

Thoughtful design isn’t about filling a space. It’s about making space for life.

Is your entryway in need of better function and style?

Some spaces mean a little more 🤍.

Designing this bedroom in my mom was a project especially close to my heart. More than creating a beautiful room, it was about honoring the stories, memories, and treasures she has collected throughout her life.

We thoughtfully incorporated many of the antiques and meaningful pieces she brought with her, blending them with fresh elements to create a space that feels both timeless and deeply personal. Every detail tells a story, making this room not just a place to rest, but a reflection of the life lived within it.

The most meaningful interiors aren’t always the trendiest.. they’re the ones that feel like home. 🤍

It’s almost cottage season!
…and this is your reminder about THE POWER OF PAINT 🎨 These are all before and after where the floors and ceiling were untouched.

Awkward living room space? Create zones.

A reading corner, a cozy conversation nook, a small workspace, or even a games area can completely transform how a room feels and functions. Large or oddly shaped spaces often work best when they’re divided with intention rather than treated as one oversized room.

Use rugs, lighting, furniture placement, and accent chairs to define each area while still keeping the space cohesive and inviting. The result? A home that feels warmer, more functional, and beautifully curated. ✨

Your small bathroom feels tight? Read this 👇

Stop designing at eye level—go up.

The 9-foot ceilings (instead of standard 8) instantly made this 45 sq ft bathroom feel bigger, lighter, and more elevated.

A full glass shower keeps sightlines open—but the real game changer?
A window inside the shower. More natural light, zero heaviness, and the entire space feels twice as bright.

We kept it functional with a clean niche (no clutter), and went big on the mirror to reflect light and visually double the space.

And the tile 👀
The floor + herringbone in the shower add just enough pattern to make it interesting—without overwhelming such a small footprint.

Small space ≠ small impact.
It’s all in the details ✨

This is what a “collected” living room looks like.

When designing my mom’s 580 sq ft secondary suite, every inch had to work harder - without ever feeling like it.

The goal? Maximize function while creating a space that feels open, layered, and effortless.

I reworked the floor plan over and over until it truly made the most of the square footage - because in a home this size, layout is everything.

From there, the living space came together with intention:
A soft, neutral base…
Hints of blue for just enough depth…
And layers of texture; from the rug to the wood tones to the styling - that do the heavy lifting.

Nothing is overdone, but everything feels finished.

Because it’s never about filling a space,
it’s about completing it.

*Collected Living: a design approach that creates a personalized, lived-in home by displaying curated treasures, antiques, and meaningful items gathered over time, rather than buying all-new, matching furniture.

Proof that a kitchen can feel warm and bright

When designing this secondary suite for my mom, the kitchen was all about function and balance—clean white cabinetry paired with warm wood tones to keep it from feeling flat.

The real focal point? That statement chandelier with wood feature above it. It anchors the island and adds just enough softness to contrast all the straight lines.

I kept the styling minimal so the materials could speak for themselves—because sometimes less really does more.

Save this if you love timeless kitchens 🤍
