Hastings & Algonquin, school's closed October 26th, so we're filling the whole day with creativity here at YCJ.

Kids spend the day making, experimenting and hanging out with friends. We provide a mix of art, crafts, hands-on projects and creative challenges with plenty of time to just play and connect. Everything's designed for a range of ages and abilities, so they get to put their own spin on what they make.

Spaces are limited, so grab your child's spot early.

It’s a Fall Saturday Swap!

Bring three things you've made. Go home with three made by someone else.
What you make is up to you, as long as it's something you'd be delighted to receive yourself.

We’ll spend the evening visiting, sharing the stories behind what we made and getting to know new people over refreshments. When it's time, everyone picks three handmade treasures to take home.

You don’t to bring anything fancy or expensive, the focus is sharing something made by hand and connecting with the people around you. Come solo or bring a friend!

In this beginner needle-felting workshop, you'll use soft, colourful wool to recreate traditional-inspired quilt patterns, no sewing required!

Pick your pattern and palette, then learn to layer, shape and felt the wool into crisp little sections. Finish it in an embroidery hoop or frame it as a tiny piece of textile art.

Never felted before? Great. We’ll teach you the basics and provide everything you need.
