✨ WE’VE BEEN NOMINATED! ✨

I’m honestly a little overwhelmed writing this. 💜

The Bentley Mercantile has been nominated for Small Business of the Year at the 2026 Lacombe & District Business Awards Gala!

When we took over the store almost a year ago, I knew I wanted it to be more than just a place to shop. I wanted it to be a place that felt welcoming, that supported our community, and that people genuinely enjoyed walking into.

To be nominated for an award recognizing commitment to customers, employees and community means more to me than I can really put into words.

This past year has been full of learning, changing, growing, taking chances, rearranging the store approximately 4,726 times 😂, meeting so many wonderful people and figuring things out as we go.

And none of it happens without you.

Every time you walk through our doors, tell a friend about us, share or comment on a post, come to one of our events, or choose to spend your dollars in our little small-town store — you are helping us build this.

To whoever nominated The Bentley Mercantile: thank you. Truly. 💜

And to our customers, our staff, our community and everyone who has cheered us on during this first year — thank you for making this little dream of mine feel very, very real.

Now we wait to find out the Top 3 finalists on September 4! 🤞💜

But today? I’m just going to enjoy being incredibly grateful that The Bentley Mercantile is a Small Business of the Year nominee. 🥹

This fabulous vintage-style cubby cabinet has been working hard at The Mercantile displaying all of our hardware, but we’re ready for a change — which means it’s officially our very first Back Room Find!

We’ll be closing the doors to the public and welcoming 5 winners + a friend each for an evening at The Bentley Mercantile.

🥉 We brought home 3rd Place! 🥉

We’re so excited and honoured that our parade float took 3rd Place! 💜

A huge thank you to everyone who cheered along the parade route and to everyone who helped bring our vision to life. We had so much fun celebrating our amazing community, and we’re already looking forward to next year!

Congratulations to all of the other incredible entries—it was a fantastic parade! 🎉
