Have you ever thought about what happens to your garbage once it goes in your bin?
For the longest time, once it left my reach it didn't concern me at all. Until one day I was driving in a relatively populated town in Ontario. Mid July, my windows down, music blaring-naturally, I started smelling something foul... it was getting worse and persisting. My eyes scanned the horizon. I pulled over, and to my amazement it was a landfill.
You'd be amazed what can't be recycled-or won't. This experience opened my eyes and I started a business around reducing waste-and consumption believe it or not.
Now, when I look at the things I own I have a different view of them. Why get rid of them because the world is moving in a different way? Fashion is changing and home decor is too? Why not take what we already own, and reuse it? ♻️Up-cycle, and give it a new life?
Well here we are years later, and my attempt is to do just that.
We spend so much effort consuming, and what doesn't work for us anymore we "get rid of." Once it leaves our hands we don't give it another thought.
