In case y'all didn't see my stories, my respiratory system is apparently very allergic to lanolin and skirting this fleece landed me in the ER 💀 All good now- they got me right in, and after meds and an inhaler we were out two hours later. But unfortunately I can't keep this fleece 😭

Partially skirted, $60 (what I paid), comes with two paper bags of skirted and 2nds/3rds, pickup in Brighton preferred but can ship Canada wide at buyer's expense! It's honestly such a gorgeous fleece and I'm pi**ed I can't finish it, but if I go near it again mum might tackle me 😂

Happy holiday weekend to those who celebrate! The last of the bees are still hard at work. Fun fact, I'm apparently now allergic to wasps and bees 🤦‍♀️ I get mt handy dandy epipen tomorrow, so no sunflower work until then 😂

Freshly mordanted worsted weight alpaca cria yarn drying this morning 😌 My second yarn shipment hasn't come in so I haven't been able to dye yet, but I'm hoping to have things started by next week if the package is delivered before the holiday!

One of my favourite things is being able to say "I did all of it myself!". But I need to accept that I can't do EVERYTHING 😂 It would take me dozens of hours to get a pound of alpaca fleece washed, picked, carded, and spun. And I used to have the time for that- now I have too many things going on. So today I'm going through my washed and raw alpaca fibre to get it organized to be processed at 1852 Fibre Mill ! I can't wait to work with them and finally spin all of this 😊

Exciting news! My first shipment of commercial yarn has arrived 😊 This 100% alpaca cria yarn will be the start of a new branch of natural hand dyeing. As much as I want to process and spin and dye everything- it's not feasible for me, and it's not an affordable price range for customers. So, commercial from Canadian companies it is!

I'll be starting mordanting and dyeing asap and have applied to some Christmas markets to show it at. I'm also working on starting a "catalogue" site where I'll have all of my stock available to look at, and then be ordered through me via social media or email. If things go well enough, I'll start my own website! Etsy is just too expensive for everyone involved and no longer worth it.

I can't wait to share all of tbe fun new stuff I'll be trying out 😌

THANK YOU for another amazing Brighton Applefest !! It was wonderful to see and meet everyone 😊

I love these hats and made them for the festival, but none sold! They're 100% acrylic, machine wash delicate, and, as with most of my hats, fit from toddler - adult if you fold up the brim, and $25.
