‼️ We're extending our call for 2 more days!
The Brighton Arts and Culture Council invites artists from Northumberland County and surrounding areas to apply to the “Inspired by the Apple Route” juried art show.
It’s our first ever juried art show at PWAC! We'll be celebrating with an opening on June 13 in the evening after the Apple Route Tour is done for the day!
🥇 Awards:
-Juror's Choice (2 Winners)
-People's Choice (Voted on by gallery visitors and Apple Route visitors leading up to the opening)
Awards will be presented at the opening June 13!
The answer to a few questions:
- This show will be juried by Kerry Viggiani as the BACC juror, and guest juror Barbara Husband. Barbara is a photographer from Port Hope known as “the bird whisperer”. She is also a board member at the volunteer run gallery in Port Hope.
- In case anyone is concerned, neither juror will be submitting work as it would be a conflict of interest.
- ALL mediums will be welcome to apply. 3d, photography, painting, etc….
- There will be a low cost to apply; a higher cost to non BACC members. BACC/PWAC will retain a 30% commission for any sold work
- While Brighton is located in Northumberland County, as is the ARST tour, our BACC membership base also resides in Quinte, PEC, and Hastings counties. As a result, we are extending the call to non-members in those areas as well.
This is an opportunity to display your Apple Route Inspired work at Presqu’ile Waddling Arts Centre, downtown Brighton, from June 1st tilll June 28th (including the highly anticipated Apple Route Studio Tour weekend) Artists of all mediums, 3D/2D, are welcome to apply. Applications open on Monday April 20 at noon and will close on Thursday May 14 at 11:55pm. Accepted artists will be contacted by Friday May 22 with information about art drop off and collection.
Fee is $30 for General Submissions and $15 for BACC Members
