Behind the scenes at the farm 🌱

Before the blooms, bouquets, and market days… there’s a lot of work happening in the fields.

Right now we’re prepping the rows and laying down planting tarps by hand. Each tarp has 1,500 holes that we individually plant seed by seed. Those tiny seeds will eventually grow into the flowers that fill your bouquets all season long.

It’s a labour of love, a little muddy, and definitely a family effort — but seeing the fields come to life makes every step worth it.

Stepping into the heart of the global flower trade 🌸

Today I had the incredible opportunity to visit the largest flower auction in the world, right here in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 — and it’s truly beyond anything I imagined.

Thousands of blooms. Endless varieties. A fast-paced, behind-the-scenes look at how flowers move from growers to shops across the globe in a matter of hours.

As a flower farmer, this experience is both inspiring and grounding — a reminder of the scale of this industry, but also how special it is to grow and sell locally, with care and intention 🌿

There’s nothing like seeing where it all begins… and where it all goes.

It is all sunshine and rainbows at Keukenhof Gardens. For 8 weeks every year prople come from all over the world to see these stunning gardens. Flowers are pure hope and peace and beauty and happiness and the displays are nothing short of magnificent! 🌷 😘💛🇳🇱🌷😉☀️🌿

There is something truly magical about being surrounded by millions of blooms 🌷✨

Visiting Keukenhof Gardens felt like stepping into a living painting—rows upon rows of vibrant tulips, delicate petals dancing in the breeze, and colours so rich they almost don’t feel real. Every turn was a new burst of inspiration, a reminder of just how powerful and joyful flowers can be.
