I was asked~ if a client with absolutely no limitations (and very open mind) came to you, what would your top three recommendations be for them?
I’ll start by telling you that these recommendations aren’t necessarily extravagant or excessive ones, but they can lead to truly extraordinary places to be.

Bring in the simple luxuries, the personalized statements such as monogrammed linens and, always make room and time for fresh flowers.
No limitations can also mean restraint so that there’s breathing room for the special things to have their moments, to find their place over time to and stand out like precious jewelry.
Begin with a solid grounding of quality and honour true craftsmanship. Splurge on this!
Invest in the beautiful details – in well-defined openings between spaces that leave a memory of quality when walking through them, and in architecture that performs like sculpture when the light plays on its profiles and turns.
These are the timeless luxuries that have substance and that establish a sense of history even if the home has a modern aesthetic. Over the years, it will always look right while the trends continue to make statements of the day and then lose their lustre.
Consider your dream home as a living art piece (never static or finished) that breathes, grows, and shares history around your person.
Fill the walls with big art, the niches with sculpture, and the special corners with antiques or collections that have their own history. It’s a layered approach that shouldn’t happen all at once.
Have not only an open mind but an open heart and embrace the things you truly love. Do a bit of soul searching to understand what is beautiful to you and what brings joy and wellbeing.
