What lies beyond should always be intriguing. This is about flow, movement, harmony, and focus. In this two-storey Great Room, a feature in the second floor hall brings in light and classical detail.
Three leaded glass lenses will be suspended within the light wells. A beautiful and captivating detail from both floors.
And who will create these for us? The master of the craft, Matt Stearns from of course!
We can’t wait until this happens and it’s up next!

It’s all about the blending of traditions in our Park Manor Project. I love the classical medallion in deconstructed mode and then to carry a refined industrial luminaire.

It was a perfect day to walk through the arches of our Park Manor Project, and to share a little video with you since the trades were not as noisy!
And we were met with a few surprises- good ones!
The scaffolding was finally down in the great room and in some other areas, and we were able to fully embrace the volume and proportions of this grand home. The large window expanses with views to the beautiful gardens beyond, and the flow of the architecture and craftsmanship are really what makes this home a stand out!
But now that we see the two storey fireplace wall, we also see where there will be a rather large TV in place. ‘How do we not see this large TV,’ you may ask? Well, we have a solution - we always do when it comes to hiding the big black box. An art lift system can be remotely managed to conceal and reveal the TV. After all, it’s not about the TV, it’s about the art and the function behind it of course.

The process of a masterpiece.
This deconstructed ceiling medallion in plasterwork is a ‘one-of-kind’ that has been sculpted and carved by hand. The beauty and originality can be found in its imperfections; the hand of the artisan is seen in every turn.
This will be a statement piece embraces the entire ceiling in the dining room of our Park Manor Project and I’m sure it will spark many conversations around the table.

Our Modern Retreat shows its beauty even in the raw stages. The most evident feature is its large window walls and a strong connection to the natural world with pristine northern lake views.
The home is clean lined in its architecture and detailing and the materials bring warmth and authenticity.

Do you want to see the process of a beautifully grand window treatment installation?
It takes skill, creativity, craftsmanship, the nips and tucks, and a touch of fearlessness when navigating the details two storeys up!
These draperies are crafted out of a fine dressmakers’ wool (the hand of this textile is just incredible) and we added a tall contrast band with the most exquisite pattern.
The treatment frames this two-storey bay without distracting from the beautiful garden views.
And…it all coordinates so perfectly with our dining chairs that were delivered on the same day. More exquisite details!
There’s a perfect space waiting for our custom dining table that we have spent months creating. It’s up next, so stay tuned!

This piece is by renowned Canadian artist, Paul Tom. His work has amazing movement and tactility that cannot easily be described but can be felt. No words required.
