The Sprout Growers unit is made of lightweight, food grade plastic (lid and bottom) with a stainless steel strainer insert. Our unique hydroponic design allows the sprouts to grow ABOVE the waterline in a safe, non-toxic environment in which air enters and gases seep out. This system produces pleasant tasting, high grade, nutrient-dense sprouts, grown with ordinary water and with no special lighting. Sprouts, depending on seed type, size and density, are ready to eat in 24-30 hours.
