Comparing two window quotes and they look almost the same?

The biggest mistake is comparing only the window price. A proper quote should show what is included from start to finish, because the cheapest number often leaves out removal, installation, and finishing. At Sunbusters, our quote covers all of that, so you know exactly what the project includes before work begins.

The next thing to check is whether the final price can change. Some quotes look lower upfront, then add costs later for extras or upgrades. Our approach is simple: what we quote is what you pay. No surprises, no upsells.

And don’t forget the warranty. A strong window quote should protect your investment long after installation. Sunbusters includes a 25-year manufacturer warranty and a 10-year installation warranty, and both are transferable to the next owner.

When you collect quotes in Calgary, compare the full scope, the final price promise, and the warranty, not just the headline number.

In our Calgary shop, every blind starts on the test rail before it ever heads out to a home.

It gets cut, assembled, and checked by hand so it’s ready for the window it’s meant for. That extra step matters, because the details are what make a room feel finished and make the process feel easy for the homeowner.

As Vita L. shared in her Google review, “He made choosing the blinds super easy and the price is great!!”

That is exactly what we love to hear.

Made locally, checked carefully, and installed with the kind of care we’d want in our own homes. If you’re planning a refresh, we’d be happy to help.

Old windows out, new ones in.

Install day is where the transformation really starts. Our crew arrives with the plan, removes the old windows carefully, and gets the openings ready for the new fit. In this stage, you can already see the difference, old frames stacked on site, our sign on the lawn, and the home one step closer to a cleaner, tighter finish.

Then it’s all about installation and finishing. Our own team handles the replacement from start to finish, making sure everything is set properly, sealed well, and cleaned up before we leave. The result is a smoother install, better comfort, and windows that look like they were always meant to be there.

If your home is due for the same kind of upgrade, book a consultation with Sunbusters

In a Calgary home, one project turned into a big trust story.

Pamela V. shared this Google review after Sunbusters replaced 20 windows in her home, and she said it best: “We recently had Sunbusters replace 20 windows in our home, and the entire process was fantastic.”

She also mentioned Bob for the consult, and said the install team was professional.

That kind of feedback means a lot to us. Thank you, Pamela, for taking the time to share your experience.

If you are planning a window project in Calgary or anywhere in Alberta, we would be happy to help.

From a Douglasdale bungalow to a Chestermere two-storey, and right along a row of inner-city townhomes, September kept us moving all over Calgary.

Four real jobs, one frame, and a nice reminder of how different every home can be. One homeowner wanted brighter rooms before the colder months settled in. Another needed better comfort upstairs for a busy family. A townhome owner was looking for a cleaner, more finished look. Same city, different goals, all with the same focus on making home feel better.

That’s the part we always enjoy most. Not just the windows, doors, or zebra blinds themselves, but the reason behind them. A quieter room. A warmer morning. A space that feels a little more ready for winter.

October is already filling up with pre-winter work, and the route is still open for a free measure.
