FOR ALL OF YOU WAITING FOR LARRY’S BIG SWEATER REVEAL… HERE HE IS!

Larry has been incredibly patient while I found the time to finish his fabulous granny square sweater vest!

But the wait is officially over, and he’s dressed to impress just in time for Halloween week!

The hat. The vest. The crossed legs. The attitude.

Honestly, I think he’s pulling it off better than most of us.

TURNING YARN INTO HOPE — ONE STITCH AT A TIME! 💗

I am absolutely blown away by the love and support I’ve received since announcing my November fundraiser!

To everyone who has donated, shared, or helped spread the word — THANK YOU! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!!!

I’m already at 46% of my $2,500 fundraising goal, and it’s not even November yet!

For those of you that don’t know, This November, I’m participating in the Canadian Cancer Society’s November Knitting Challenge in honour of some incredibly special people I’ve lost to cancer.

I’ve already kicked things off with a personal donation from my Knit Happens YYC sales. So if you’ve supported my little business, you’ve already helped make a difference!

Throughout November, I’ll be knitting or crocheting at least one item every single day. Everything I create will be donated at the end of the month to bring warmth and comfort to others.

30 days. Countless stitches. One meaningful cause.

TURNING YARN INTO HOPE — ONE STITCH AT A TIME!

This November, I’m putting my hooks and needles to work for something bigger.

Cancer has touched my family and my circle of friends. Over the years, I’ve lost some incredibly important people in my life to this awful disease. This challenge is my way of honouring their memories while giving back to a cause that means so much to me.

I’m participating in the Canadian Cancer Society’s November Knitting Challenge, and I’ve set a fundraising goal of $2,500!

To get things started, I’ve already made a personal donation using a portion of my Knit Happens YYC sales from last month, So if you’ve supported my little business, you’ve already helped make a difference!

Throughout November, I’ll be knitting or crocheting at least one item every single day. At the end of the month, everything I create will be donated to bring a little warmth and comfort to others.

TO BLOCK OR NOT TO BLOCK… THAT IS THE QUESTION!

Makers, do you block your finished projects? Or are you firmly in the NO BLOCKING camp?

And more importantly… WHY?!

Me? I’m a steam-blocking girl through and through!

You’ve spent hours, sometimes DAYS, putting time, effort, and love into every stitch. Why wouldn’t you take that final step to make your hard work shine?

I love seeing my blankets become beautiful, even squares or rectangles, with straight edges and perfectly lined-up stitches.

Steam blocking also helps relax the yarn, giving everything a softer, more natural drape.

To me, blocking isn’t about fixing mistakes. It’s about giving all that hard work the finishing touch it deserves!

Because after THAT much work, you better believe my projects are getting the full spa treatment!

And yes, those are Diet Coke boxes. We use what we have around here!
