Old Fashioned Cinnamon Apple Crisp 🍏❤️
Ingredients:
6 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled, cored, and sliced
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup old-fashioned oats
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Spread the apples evenly in the prepared baking dish.
In another bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in the butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Sprinkle the oat topping evenly over the apples.
Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
Let the crisp cool for 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
