Summer photo dump ☀️💕

I don't know if I've had a more eventful summer than this one. We get out of the house almost every day, open to wherever adventure may take us. Markets, river days, zoo trips, home renos, dog cuddles, crafting, mountains, mom meet ups, reuniting with family and friends! That pretty much sums up my summer!
When I was little, my Step Dad would repeat the motto, " A dirty kids a happy kid!". It has never rang more true, and we live by this on a daily basis. How precious it is to see him explore the world with new eyes. Touching trees, climbing anything he sees, digging in the dirt, and of course eating it too! Letting him make mistakes, learn about consequences and that there are things to be cautious of.
It's been such a journey learning to navigate the ups and downs of motherhood. Figuring out who I am now. Mourning the loss of who I was. Struggling with postpartum depression. Learning to navigate not being able to meet your basic needs in order to provide for another's. Understanding that sometimes you just have to surrender to the flow of things. Learning to love myself and that I still have an identity outside of motherhood. That my experiences, beautiful and ugly, are part of life.
As this summer ends, and we approach one year since Charlie entered the world, with all my heart I am grateful 💕
