Mac's father had a passion for birding that he passed onto his son. An opportunity rose to purchase a backyard birding store, and with a gift from his Father, Mac and Linda purchased what is now The Wild Bird Store. They ran the store for 17 years, building it on customer service, education, quality products, and supporting local artisans. In 2013 Mac and Linda's daughter, Kris, and business partn

The mystery bird is the ๐‚๐ž๐๐š๐ซ ๐–๐š๐ฑ๐ฐ๐ข๐ง๐ !

These sleek and social birds are often seen travelling in flocks throughout Alberta during the warmer months. ๐ŸŒฑ

Cedar Waxwings are known for their silky-looking feathers, black mask, and bright yellow tail tip. They spend much of the summer feeding on berries, insects, and fruit, often moving gracefully between trees and shrubs. ๐Ÿ‘€โœจ

Unlike many songbirds, Cedar Waxwings are highly social and are commonly spotted feeding and resting together in groups.
