I recently dropped this gorgeous piece off to my favourite tattoo artist at his awesome studio in Guelph, ON.

The piece is a stained glass version of their logo that I stared at for hours whilest getting my latest tattoo and became obsessed with making it in glass.

I met Rob in Dublin back in 2009 when I got my second tattoo, and that was it, he's my tattoo artist for life.

This is my entry for !

The concept of this contest is: .flow.glass puts out one of their awesome designs, and call on other artists to put their own twist on the design. I wanted to participate last year, but I was way too intimidated, so I'm really proud of myself for putting myself out there this time. 😁

The original design was a strawberry shaped, hilly landscape with a daisy/sun. It's beautiful, colourful and summery.

When I saw it, it made me think of how sometimes it feels like "everyone" loves summer, and while I like summer, I don't tolerate the heat very well and I frequently find myself dreaming of fall.

I'm a part of a neurodiverse family, and it brought to mind how much we have to mask and try to fit into society, but no matter what, we are always a little off (and I love that about us).

So the concept here is:
"When you're trying to be sunshine, butterflies and strawberries, but your butterfly has a skull on it and your strawberry is actually a pumpkin."
