Happy father’s day to all the dads out there. Been a slower week but still got a few updates on my chassis. Rear rub bars and center bracing, front and rear tow points half welded in and today got the main halo remeasured on cad then bent and welded into place. Slowly chipping away at it one tube at a time.

Finally getting caught up on everything else in life so might as well really start on my passion project. A few years of planning, lots of changed ideas and collecting parts. This weekends first challenge getting the lower cradles bent equally and squared together.

I will still be accepting any custom jobs that come my way while building this too.

Finally got the drive on lift ready for powder coating. Made some adjustments to the hydraulics and included a recover to attach a winch for pulling broken machines on. One of the most deceiving projects that seemed simple on paper and very intricate to get it working right. For scale it will lift an XMR on 30’s 10” clear off the deck at full height.

So as allot of people outside my close circle don’t know I took the winter off to go back to school. Aside from feeling of going back to collage in my 30’s I took a welding course in Brandon which led me to gain some CWB certifications to further let me back up what I build. At the end of the course we were given a chance a fabricate something with the tooling available. The school had a plasma CNC so I taught myself to use cad/cam in my evenings and was able to build myself a heavy duty tubing bender. Without getting into too many details shortly I’ll be able to start a project for myself and document the whole process.

What started out a local business needing a proper safe solution to loading ATVs and SxS came an idea which called for another load of steel. 10’x6’ adjustable height ramp, height range from 31”-46”. These are the kind of jobs I love when I’m given a problem and can build a solution that fits their needs.

Weather turned cold after hunting wrapped up. Haven’t been doing just extra projects lately been focusing on the house. Had my kitchen ripped down to the studs. All the 80’s wood paneling is getting the boot. Got half the kitchen drywall up and mudded this weekend. Hopefully start paint and building the new cabinets this week coming up. Long overdue to project.

Yes I know my house looks like a tornado ran through it 😆
