Join us for a dreamy one-of-a-kind island experience at one of the most gorgeous destinations PEI has to offer: paint a handmade ceramic travel tumbler with local potter Julia from TATA Ceramics and pick blooming lavender at the Island Lavender Distillery in Bonshaw. All while sipping on delicious Lavender Lemonade and enjoying locally sourced light snacks with friends and family.

🎟️ Cost per Person: $70 - $90 (+HST) - includes:

• hands on pottery glazing workshop with Julia of TATA Ceramics: Julia will guide you through the process from start to finish and help you achieve your design goals.
• one bisqued TATA Ceramics petal plate or travel tumbler cup to paint & keep for each participant
• a full rainbow of easy-to-use glazes and all pottery supplies needed
• glaze firing after the workshop within one to two weeks with local pickup in Charlottetown
• u-pick lavender: pick your own lavender bundle peacefully while enjoying the beautiful farm

Pride PEI 🌈 presents: Proud Mugs - Ceramic Painting Workshop with TATA Ceramics

Join us to paint a ceramic travel cup with Julia (she/her/q***r) of TATA Ceramics. In this pottery workshop for q***rs and allies of all ages, you will learn how to glaze a cup that Julia has thrown on the potter‘s wheel for you. Using a large variety of ceramic glaze colors you can get creative and design your very own proud mug to celebrate and remember Pride. With all tools provided Julia will explain the process and help you accomplish your ideas.

No previous knowledge is required. Let’s have fun in a relaxed environment at the Mezzanine level at Founders' Food Hall & Market, which will be reserved for us.

After the workshop Julia will fire your new favorite mug within 1-2 weeks in a pottery kiln to make it food safe, dishwasher- and microwave friendly. The pieces will then be ready for pickup in Charlottetown.

In praise of asymmetry I created a matching mug to my wavy (blob) dishes ✨ special thanks goes out to that white clay that was too dry to throw and encouraged me to teach myself handbuilding. A round vessel seemed too lame, so here we are! Each piece truly unique with it’s asymmetrical curves and pulled handles. Handcarved designs as a finish and a glossy clear coat to show off the simple but beautiful off-white clay. In the center you find a sneak peak of my not yet released 3D happy face flower mug 🌞 stay tuned for the summer drop of this special design. The other friends will be available for pre-order soon.
