Everything you need to get growing! "It all began on a shoestring" is the way Arthur Vesey (the founder of Veseys Seeds) described the beginning days of Veseys Seeds. From a very young age, Mr. Vesey operated a market garden in the rural community of York, Prince Edward Island. During his market garden years, he was keenly interested in securing and testing seeds that were suitable for the cool, s

hort growing seasons of Atlantic Canada. When ordering his own seeds, he soon began to include seed orders for his neighbors. This eventually led to the establishment of a small retail seed business located in one room of his home. As we have continued to grow over the past 75 years, we still like to keep everything that our neighbors need in the store. Isn't that what PEI is all about! Drop in and visit and also view our trial gardens. Veseys garden shop carries all of our tested and proven seeds, garden supplies and tools. We also have the Island's largest selection of outdoor lawn and garden power equipment, and a complete line of floral and nature crafts. Be sure to visit us again in early November when our shop is transformed into a wonderful Christmas store filled with gifts for gardeners and non-gardeners alike!
