Swipe to see the before of my own kitchen!

I spend so much time seeing what’s not done yet.
The next project. The next phase. The next idea.

But then there are these quiet moments;
fresh branches on the counter, morning light hitting just right when I can finally see it differently.

Not as a work in progress…
but as a home that’s already come so far.

If you’re ready to start dreaming about what is next in your own kitchen remodel let’s chat!

Big branches. Always.

Spring gives you endless options…
but I’ll find something in every season. This home was styled in late August an we foraged the property for the perfect branches.

Let’s talk about one of the simplest upgrades I’ve found lately.

I’m always thinking about lighting early in a project; not just where it goes, but how it layers and how it actually feels in a space.

But the reality is… not every space has the perfect electrical layout.

And that used to mean compromise.

Now? It doesn’t.

These rechargeable, wireless bulbs have become one of my favourite little design tools. They let you add light exactly where you want it without opening up walls or reworking a plan.

And more importantly, they let you create that layered lighting feel… in places you normally couldn’t.

It’s a small shift, but it makes a big difference.

Let’s talk lighting, my favourite design language.

One of the biggest things that sets a space apart is layered lighting. It’s not just about brightness… it’s about atmosphere, depth, and how a room feels the moment you walk in.

Most people think of layered lighting in the “cozy” rooms — bedrooms, living rooms, but I love designing three layers of light in every single space, especially kitchens.

In this kitchen, you can see all three working together:

💡 Ambient: our classic pot lights; the overall foundation that keeps the room bright, functional, and effortless from day to night.
🔨 Task: the sweetest alabaster flush mounts above the island; giving focused, practical light right where the work happens.
✨ Accent: those stunning brass wall sconces with linen shades; bringing warmth, character, and that elevated glow only an accent light can give.

It’s subtle, but when all three layers come together, the room shifts from “beautiful” to memorable.
This is the design work I love; shaping mood, movement, and experience with light.

Are you team layered lighting yet?

Excited to launch a new series which I think you all will LOVE!
THE INDEX EDIT. Where we share are favourite products and explain why they will always make the cut.

02/06/2026

From the very beginning, I knew I wanted a studio.
Not a showroom for show’s sake—
but a space that actually serves the work.

A place where materials live.
Where ideas are laid out, compared, questioned.
Where decisions become clear before anything is built.

This studio exists for one reason: better decisions.

When we sit together here—surrounded by real materials—
conversations go deeper.
Choices feel more confident.
The why behind the design becomes clear early on.

It’s not about having more.
It’s about having the right environment to do the work well.

In a focused studio meeting, ideas unfold faster.
Distractions fall away.
Materials come together.
Design becomes more precise.

This studio isn’t about having a space.
It’s about creating the right conditions for thoughtful design.

Changing the way we live and feel.
That’s a powerful thing to be a part of.

This journey didn’t start with INDEX — it started long before it had a name.
Looking back, I can see the quiet turning points. The pivots. The moments of trusting my gut when the path wasn’t obvious, but felt right.

Each one brought me closer to a place where I could fully embrace my creative side, trust my instincts, and build something rooted in connection.
A place where home isn’t just designed — it’s felt.

I believe spaces shape us.
They influence how we move through our days, how we connect with the people we love, and how safe we feel to simply be ourselves.

When people choose to build or renovate, I don’t believe they’re chasing the “thing” — the finishes, the square footage, the shiny newness.
They’re chasing a feeling.
A sense of belonging.
A place that supports real life.

I see how overwhelming that process can feel.
So many decisions. So many voices.
When what most people truly want is to feel heard and understood — all the way to the end.

I’m here. I’m listening.
Home is worth it.
