From an uneven subfloor to a floor built to last.

When Brandon and team arrived at this home, we discovered that the existing subfloor was significantly out of level. After discussing the change in scope with the homeowner, we got to work correcting the issue.

The process included installing new subfloor, priming, patching and carefully working through the leveling process to create the proper surface for the new LVP.

Subfloor preparation isn’t the cheap part of a flooring project — but it’s one of the most important. Cutting corners on prep can lead to movement, separation, unevenness and premature failure. Doing it properly creates a solid foundation for a floor that can last for decades.

A beautiful floor starts long before the first plank is installed.

And a huge shout-out to Brandon — “The Carpet Ninja” — for recognizing the problem and having the skills and experience to know exactly how to solve it. 👊

This one was created for the latest Rumble Homes custom ensuite, and it’s a perfect example of the attention to detail that goes into every custom shower we build at Owen Flooring.

Our zero-barrier shower pans start with the best mud mix available from Flextile, properly shaped and finished to create a perfectly flush transition from the shower pan to the ensuite floor.

The result? A true zero-barrier, curbless shower that looks incredible, provides easy access, and is built to perform.

These are real photos from a home where the finish on the engineered hardwood deteriorated dramatically.
