In 2012 Owen Flooring opened its doors at 297 StClair St. in Chatham, selling and installing only the flooring products they believe in. Owen Flooring is known in Chatham-Kent for their top notch customer service, from the sales staff to their highly trained installers.

Clean lines. Timeless design.

This custom shower in the Ewald home is now complete, featuring a barrier-free envelope-cut shower pan for seamless access and drainage. The entire assembly was waterproofed using Schluter Systems⁠ products and finished with 24” x 24” Italian porcelain tile, carefully selected to match the flooring throughout the home’s wet areas.

The matte black fixtures and custom glass enclosure provide a sharp contrast against the warm stone-look porcelain, creating a space that feels both luxurious and functional.

Luxury is in the details.

It’s estimated that fewer than 1–2% of people will ever walk on a true 100-ounce carpet. With exceptional face weight, density, and softness underfoot, 100oz carpet sits at the very top of the residential flooring market.

Yesterday, we installed this ultra-premium carpet for a client, and the results speak for themselves. The thickness, texture, and overall feel are on another level.

A big shout-out to our installer for the outstanding seam work and attention to detail. Quality materials deserve quality craftsmanship, and this project delivered both.

When luxury, comfort, and expert installation come together, the difference is impossible to miss.

This log cabin shower reno is absolutely 🔥

The back shower wall features the original cabin logs, preserving the character and history of the space. A custom glass panel will soon be installed to protect the wood while keeping it fully visible.

The tile is all full-body porcelain, carefully selected to complement the warmth and natural beauty of the wood. The contrast between the rich timber and the bold porcelain creates a unique blend of rustic charm and modern luxury.

One of my favourite details on this project is how the original logs remain the focal point while still being fully functional as a shower space.
