Hi Everyone! It's been quite a month. With only 2 weeks notice to move out of the shop, I think we did really well. A huge thank you to all my friends both old and new for all your support over the decades and especially over the past few months as we were starting to wind down. It is a bit of an adjustment not seeing all my favourite people every day at the shop. Believe me, every knit stitch reminds me of you everyday.

I was hoping to have an online presence in the next few weeks, but unfortunately that will have to take a back burner for the time being. My mom became seriously ill mid February and I spent the first week of March in Saskatchewan. The sad news is that she peacefully passed away early this morning, which means I'm headed back there tomorrow.

I know some of you have placed orders, but it will be at least a week before I can process them. I am so sorry for that.

I will certainly let you know when I get back and when the new website is up and running. It will take time though. I hope you understand.

Of course! Nice blanket of snow we got AT THE END OF FEBRUARY! It's a sign, I know. But we are still open today. 11 to 3. It's all on sale still. Amazing back-issue magazines $2 each; books, yarn, patterns, notions, cross stitch kits and prepackaged cross-stitch fabric are 50% off. Needles are 35% off. On-the-bolt cross-stitch fabric is 20% off. Sorry: DMC and Anchor no discount.

5-ish days left until the doors are closed! I'll still be there on Monday and Tuesday if you are desperately needing thread or whatever is left.

There is still sooooo much inventory on the shelves. To help things along, everything is now 50% off (of course, with exception - DMC and Anchor still at regular price and the new stock of fabric that I could not cancel from my December order will be at 20% off). Yes the HUGE order of fabric that just came in is available for sale in fat quarter, half yard and full yard. We will continue to sell this on line after the doors are closed.

Better prices you will not find. See you this week.

As we inch closer to the end of the month (unofficial closing date - still), we are upping the discount of everything in stock. Of course there are exceptions (such as DMC and Anchor threads, a few new books and the newest set of deluxe ChaioGoo needles - a must see). Everything else is at 20% off.

I will try to come in on Saturday, but with my husband's knee surgery on Monday (yay after 3½ year wait), I'm playing it by ear.

I'm sure everyone knows a few things about me and technology.

1. I don't do technology!

2. It's taken me this long to have someone figure out how to get back on facebook with the help of Cat.

3. I'm still not sure about this!

Having said all of that, a few things you will also know about me.

1. After 22 years of being in the knitting and stitching business, it's time to call it a day! The shop is slated to be closed December 31, promptly at 1 p.m. unless, of course, someone is interested in buying the business. I am more than happy to help with a smooth transition too to the right buyer.

2. I am not ill with any terminal anything, nor is my husband or kids! Everyone is healthy (except for the cold that is making it's rounds).

So stay posted for updated sales starting next week.
