We wanted to create a truly unique accent light take advantage of the beauty and sheer size of IMAX 70mm movie film when illuminated. This build features 4 individual 70mm film cells from 'INTERSTELLAR' released in 2014.
How It Made: We created this unique light by printing a unique internal assembly that secures the film cells and serves to backlight it (see assembly video). A black resin base holds this assembly within which these 4 cells slide into the column sleeve. **This film can be removed (and changed out with other cells if required) at any time - it is not damaged by this process. To complete it a glass dome slides over this assembly to both protect and display the film.
A 6 foot USB-C cord (included) plugs into the base resulting in a truly beautiful & custom accent light of showcasing actual scenes of the movie.
Dimensions: This piece measures almost 6.75" High x 4.3" Wide (H 17cm x W 10cm).
**NOTE: Interested in a different Interstellar scene or another IMAX film?
Because these are custom made you can choose different scenes or a completely different movie.
