September always feels a little bit like a fresh start. 🍂📖

Summer begins to loosen its hold, routines return, the air changes, and suddenly it feels like a good time to take stock and make a few small shifts.

The September Mindful Moments Yarn & Fibre Club theme is "Turning the Page".

Not a dramatic reinvention. Not a long list of things we should be doing differently.
Just a gentle transition, a return to what grounds us, letting go of what isn't working, and deciding what we'd like to carry into the season ahead.

I love a good period romance, be it a book, show or movie. This summer I decided to create some bright new colours that make me think of juicy courtyard scandals, beautiful flowers, hidden arbors & intrigue!

I shared these colours with Sarah from Sarah K and she chose 3 of them to create the lovely "Dear Elizabeth Tee" This tee looks fabulous on a variety of body shapes and sizes, and includes the option to mix & match motifs!

If you adore the colours that Sarah used, they are:
*Rose Garden Scandal
*Quiet Arbor &
*Wisteria Cascade

All of these colours & more are now available on my website. You can find them on my Crafty Sock base in full, half size & mini skeins. Just click on the "Courtyard Romance Collection" option to choose your selection.

🌧️ July Theme: When the Rain Comes 🌧️
Before a summer storm arrives, the air changes. The wind shifts, the clouds gather, and all we can do is wait.

Life brings seasons of change in much the same way. We can't always control what is coming, but we can choose how we meet it.
This month's theme is a gentle reminder to trust the process, breathe through uncertainty, and accept change rather than resist it. Just as rain nourishes the earth, life's challenges can bring growth, renewal, and fresh perspective.

When the rain comes, may you find peace in letting go, courage in the unknown, and trust in what comes next. 💙

What that? You wanted to know if I was bringing any spinning fibre to ? Why would you even ask? Of course I will! I'll have an assortment of Rambouillet, Cormo, BFL, Falkland & Shetland. I'll also be bringing some batts & mill blended colours. All sorts of squishy, soft, colourful goodness headed your way!

Hey there Crafty Friends! 👋 Up to my neck in show prep stuff at the moment, but I wanted to give a heads up to my stitchy pals about some new products that will be coming with me to in Olds this coming weekend.

First off, I have dyed up a random assortment of felted wool fabric. These unique colours would be perfect for applique, rug hooking or other fibre crafts. Colours are all one of a kind and will be offered in a range of sizes/bundles. If there is enough interest, these will become a staple offering on the website.

New to the shop is Sew Fine Thread Gloss in a variety of fragrances. Made with Beeswax and Coconut here in Canada. Great for keeping threads from tangling whether you do applique, embroidery, or cross stitch. These are live and available on the website, so if you just can't wait to get your hands on some, head over there. You will find them on the home page under New Arrivals.

Lastly, I will be bringing a very limited assortment of hand dyed DMC 6 strand embroidery floss. All colours are non-repeatable so if you love them, you'll want to grab them. I'll be selling these in hanks of x6 strands each cut to approx. 1 yard.

Historically I've only had individual minis for sale at market events. I finally got my p**p 💩 in a group & all these cuties are now listed on the website. While some of these are repeatable colourways, many are not. If you are feeling the love for one or some of these, you may want to purchase sooner rather than later! Minis are dyed on my Crafty Sock & Tweed Sock bases.
