Generous counter space and accessible storage, a spacious steam shower, discreetly integrated support, a hidden laundry closet, and large-format porcelain panels all work together to create a space that is as functional as it is beautiful.

Because planning for the future doesn't mean compromising the present.

See this wonderful and colourful , in cool summery colours.

The dark catch-all office also did double duty as an overstock furniture storage space. We converted it into a bright, inviting dining room that now has the perfect vibe for entertaining, right off the newly renovated kitchen.

This complete main-floor reno totally reimagined the layout, changing the locations of the kitchen, dining room, family room, and living room. By flipping the layout, we created much better circulation and entertaining flow for their lifestyle.

Part 2 of: Don't believe everything you read!!...except this post of course 😉

Last week I shared with you an article I read in an international home and garden publication telling us that Aquamarine was the 'it' colour of summer 2026. I mentioned that the images they led with better represented the TEAL colour family, and I showed you in that post what Aquamarine looks like, as we all know it.

This week I want to show you what TEAL colour looks like so you can understand the difference and make informed decisions about colour selection. And if I may say so, we were doing TEAL before 'they' claimed it as an 'it' colour 😊

TEAL is a rich, medium to dark blue-green moody colour. Think peacock feathers, or deep ocean blues.
AQUAMARINE would be the palest version of this with lighter green undertones.

PART 1 of: Don't believe everything you read!!

A very popular international home and garden magazine (no shaming here) published an article about AQUAMARINE being the new 'it' colour for summer 2026. They lead with photos that - in my opinion - better represent the TEAL colour family. One image did have some Aquamarine in it (a tile blend), so I have to give them credit for that one 😉. If anything, Aquamarine is most often compared to and substituted with Turquoise, not Teal.

Because this irked me, I put together examples of what Aquamarine looks like, and what most people understand it to be.
Don't be fooled by paint colour names. Just because a paint colour has 'Aqua' in its name doesn't necessarily mean it represents the colour family of true Aquamarine.

In the next post, I will show you what TEAL looks like, and you will understand that it is not Aquamarine.
